Membership FAQ

1. What are the steps in becoming a member?

You have to first ascertain whether there is any volunteer of Kinchitkaram who is servicing the area where you reside, from the list of volunteers provided. If there are volunteers servicing your area, please contact them and they will enroll you as a member after obtaining your details. If there are no volunteers servicing the area where you reside, you could fill the “membership enrolment form” available on this website under “membership” and enrol online, or else please contact the Chennai center at 044 24992728 or email to kinchitkaram@yahoo.co.in and the center will then enroll you as a member directly with the center. The Trust reserves its right and discretion in accepting membership.

2. How do I find out if there are any volunteers in my region?

You can browse through the list of volunteers by clicking the “Volunteers” link in the menu.

3. What if I reside in a place which is not serviced by volunteers?

You could fill the “Membership Enrolment Form” available on this website under “Membership” and enrol online, or else please contact the Chennai center at 044 24992728 or email to kinchitkaram@yahoo.co.in and the center will then enroll you as a member directly with the center.

4. What is the contribution that I make as a member?

The contribution would be Rs.1000 annually (or Rs.500/- half yearly) to the activities of this trust

5. How do you make my contribution?

Persons who have become members through volunteers can hand over their annual contribution to that volunteer at the beginning of the financial year, i.e. in April or if there is any inconvenience, once every six months. Persons who have become members directly with the center at Chennai can make the contribution annually once in the beginning of April every year, either online through this website under “online donation” or by way of cheque and courier it to the Chennai centre. Since the upanyasam CDs / books will be posted/couriered to your address, you can add the courier charges of Rs. 200/- to your annual contribution cheque. Cheques will have to be in favour of Kinchitkaram Trust.

6. I live outside India. Can I become a member of the Trust?

As of now non-resident Indians cannot become members of the Trust.
