Adiyen heard this as a counter argument to vegetarianism.

Is it difficult to support world population with vegetarian food?

Asmadh Sarva Gurubyo Namaha,

Dear BhagavAta,

Adiyen has heard in couple of Enpani’s where Swami has mentioned about staying away from persons who does counter argument and their job is to keep counter question based on the answer that is given. They don’t have a firm goal of what to establish, or follow the good things that is known. Their odd life style will provide them answer slowly of what is correct method.

In this case itself, consider if BhagavAta is able to gather actual facts/evidences that there is enough vegetarian resources to provide to all human beings, then immediately their next counter question will be “Ok, now I don’t have options to decide what I wanted to eat“. So, this will never end, and our Bhakthi will reduce if we are in contact with such persons. So, we Bhaktas should focus on what we follow in a view and prostrate to BhagaVAn that “Others should also follow all the good deeds like us with Acharya krupai“. BhagaVAn has the ABILITY to change things, if HE wishes to do so, instead of exhibiting HIS “Udaseenathvam” Kalayana Gunam in places where it is not necessary. Acharyas says BhagavAn SriKrishna is KARUNAI KADAL.

********************************

Regarding this Vegetarianism topic, Adiyen has heard in Upanyasmas that ThiruValluvar (திருவள்ளுவர்) is a Shisya of “Vishnu Chittar” who is nothing but Periya Alwar ( ThiruThapgappanaar of Sri Andal Nachiyar).

ThiruvAlluaAr says,

நீ புலாலை மறுத்தால், கொல்லும் தொழிலை செயபவன் அதை மறுத்து விடுவான்

[If one denies eating meat, the persons who does the Butcher business will Stop Killing and Selling meat, Iraivan (BhagavAN) will provide him another Job].

So the General Public has the responsibility to follow good things and avoid bad things. As long as the General public does wrong things, the Wrong thing Sellers will exist.

Also there is an ODD PAzha Mozhi floating around “கொன்றால் பாவம் தின்றால் போச்சு

One May thing that the Sin acquired by killing animal is resolved when the same person eat it. This is a pathetic wrong propagation by wrong doers. There is NO such thing in BhagavAn’s dictionary (Shastras).

So inorder to teach lesson to the Wrong Doers/Propagators, what BhagavAn does is, கொன்றால் பாவம் (The Sin accumulated by the Butcher) is TRANSFERRED to the Person who buys and EAT the meat (தின்றால் போச்சு). Considering this, NO ONE SHOULD BUY MEAT AS WELL, since they themselves have enough troubles/Karmas in their life, then why would one go and get the Butchers Paapam as well, but still people keep probating wrong meaning.

********************************

குறள்:251

தன்னூன் பெருக்கற்குத் தான்பிறிது ஊனுண்பான்
எங்ஙனம் ஆளும் அருள்.

Meaning:

Meaning:

ஓருயிரையும் கொல்லாமல் புலால் உண்ணாமல் வாழ்கின்றவனை உலகத்தில் உள்ள எல்லா உயிர்களும் கைகூப்பி வணங்கும்.

[One who LIVES without Harming any animals and without Eating any animals, ALL the LIVING BEINGS (means Humans, animals, birds and all CHIT’s (Chaitanya udaya Porulgal) in the World will do Anjali with their Hands towards that person as in these pictures].

ALL ANIMALS SAYS “THANK YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS” FOR NOT KILLING ME.

**************************

Overall, EVERYONE IN THIS WORLD should have ANBHU, KARUNAI, SHAANTHI towards other Living Beings, since those are BhagavAn’s Padaippu. So BhagavAta, when they start realizing this, they will slowly stop eating meat etc….. and they will start looking other animals as another JeevAthma residing in an animal body and property of same BhagavAn.

EACH OF US, After we do ThiruAaradhanai to Perumal, We should always keep saying “வாழ்க வய்யகம் வாழ்க வளமுடன்” which is nothing but Loka Samastha Sukhino Bhavanthu, Sarve Janaha Sukhino Bhavanthu., to bring Shaanthi to the world. This is called as “ANDASHEMA YAAGAM (அண்டஷேம யாகம்)” which everyone can do in their home in their own prayer room to any of Supreme BhagavAn Sriman NarayanAn forms (SriKrishna or SriRama etc..). When we pray WELNESS for the whole Andam to be Peaceful with Bhakthi towards BhagaVAn, we are also automatically taken care, since we are residing inside the same Andam, so we don’t need to pray separately for our wellness/health etc…

Kongil Piratti swamy’s answer is appropriate. We need not take the trouble of trying to explain to people who keep arguing just for the sake of argument.

At the same time, it is good for us to know the fallacy in their arguments so that we don’t get carried away by their falsity; also we have the duty to convey the correct message to genuinely simple, sincere people who seek answers for such questions. For that sake, please permit me to share this information.

In today’s world, most of the grains like wheat, maize etc are not actually used for human consumption. The grains are used to feed animals which are brutally killed and eaten by humans.

I hope the information pasted below from two links will be helpful in understanding how even if one is interested only in material aspects of life (and do not care about leading a spiritual life), a vegetarian diet is the best way to live.

  1. “The corn and the soybeans that are needed to produce one single steak would be enough to feed two people for a whole day…”

https://www.simply-live-consciously.com/english/food-resources/one-steak-2-days/

  1. http://www.earthsave.org/environment.htm
  • “It takes 2,500 gallons of water, 12 pounds of grain, 35 pounds of topsoil and the energy equivalent of one gallon of gasoline to produce one pound of feedlot beef.
  • Because of over-consumption of fish, all 17 of the world’s major fishing areas have reached or exceeded their natural limits. One-third of the world’s fish catch is fed directly to livestock.
  • 70% of US grain production is fed to livestock.
  • 5 million acres of rainforest are felled every year in South and Central America alone to create cattle pasture.
  • Roughly 20% of all currently threatened and endangered species in the US are harmed by livestock grazing.
  • Animal agriculture is a chief contributor to water pollution. America’s farm animals produce 10 times the waste produced by the human population.”

Thank you.

Sri Ramanuja Munayae Namaha,

Dear BhagavAtas,

Non vegetarian is not prescribed either rin Bible or Quran or BhagavAt Gita, Since Supreme GOD is common to all, and all the Spiritual texts say the same GOOD RITUALS but in their own language like Sanskrit, Hebrew or Urdu etc…. But the issue is, people within their own religion don’t follow their own texts,so it makes it appear like other religions are eating meat, where as there are True Christians and True Muslims & True Hindus, who don’t eat meat at all.

********************

The Core (Traditional) Christians follow the 10 amendments of which point no 6 is:

6.”Thou Not to Kill“, Means NOT to eat Meat or Harm anyone, but other ignorant Christians eat meat, since they don’t follow their original Hebrew text set by the one common Supreme GOD.

Same as Sanatana Dharmis, the core good followers don’t eat meat, but the ignorant Hindus eat meat during non visiting days to Temples. This is due to wrong following.

So, next time, please enlighten them to follow their own text properly, and explain that we Hindus also started following no meat eating recently after listening to Upanysams.

***********************

Also in Muslims, there is a group called  Fatwas Muslims &  some other muslims who don’t eat Meat at all. But if we go and ask them, we don’t know if talk to a correct followers or not it to get the correct confirmation. Same situation with Hindus. Muslim can ask us, do you eat meat. Some ignorant Hindus say, I don’t eat meat when I go to Temple. Is this core Hindu. No correct. So it depends up on whom we talk to, so we cannot judge. Another thing within a Hinduism, some can ask a SriVaishnavaite, do you eat onion garlic, coffee, then we say, I don’t eat these when I try to cook and offer to GOD, other times I eat, Means that person is not a core SriVaishavaite.

https://www.animalsinislam.com/halal-living/fatwas/

Same situation with all religion people, we don’t follow our own Spiritual texts, and majority of them belong to a religion but don’t follow one texts, and when such people are in conversation, then more ignorance is getting spread.

All these meat eating got sneaked into their own religion due to ignorance of this Kali Yuga.

Traditional Followers of Hinduism, or Christianity or Islam are all Good Ethical followers, since their own text is clear of BhagavAN’s Satvik MIND, and it is not necessary that we get in contact with them, since they just follow good rules and pray GOD and quietly run their life.

One senior Muslim devotee told that, their Guru (Allah) has said to them not to eat meat when Vegetables/Grains are available. In middle east, it is desert, so no vegetables grow in desert, so they asked the SUPREME GOD through their Guru Allah, what to do, and GOD said, if you don’t find vegetables, then eat meat (not cow), but offer to me and do Prayaschittam, since it is a SIN anyway. But over a period of time, People started misusing or misunderstand this statement, when there is  vegetable shop and a Butcher shop, BhagavAn never told to go to Butcher shop, since you have a vegetable shop already available. This is similar to a Brahmin situation in Purana, where he did not find any vegetable food to eat due to scarcity, so he was about to eat meat, then at that time Devatas came down to Earth and told him to stop consuming meat, and they gave him vegetable food. Adiyen don’t know the exact reference of this story.

Now a days all religion people are turning to Vegetarianism Movement as seen. They are improving, better than before mind seat “கடவுளால் படைக்க பட்ட அனைத்தும் மனிதருக்கே!!!” as all creatures are for us to eat, but the trend changing to Care for animals and finally one day they will follow their true text like we Hindus started following our true text after listening to upanyasams due to GOD’s grace.

https://www.animalsinislam.com/halal-living/fatwas/

The Vegan Revolution is to fix the non-vegetarian eating Christians to come back to Vegetarianism as per their Bible’s 10 commandments “Thou Not to Kill”, like the Amish group of people follow the traditional Natural things like some Traditional Hindu’s.

Super Swamy
Yes Go Vegan
Technically certain stricter rules are needed when things go way out of track.

Vegan disallows even milk. Those days Lord Krishna gave only left over of calf milk to gopikAs. Nowadays even calf s are not allowed to drink mother’s milk.

Sri Ramanuja Munaye Namaha,
Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami. Guruve Namaha,

That’s true Bhagavata. “Vegan” doent allow using any milk products. The pure reason whether say no milk products is because, in the past and present the BUSINESS MINDED humans are so much torturing cows in India and in foregin countries like hybrid cows, more milk production by injection that how much cow would normally produce etc…..and merciless killibg baby cows. Here us a awareness on a website showing how Nestle makes product by torturing cows and baby calf.

https://www.kinderworld.org/videos/dairy-industry/cows-tortured-nestle-dairy-products/

So who sets the “DEMAND” for such business minded people, we “ORDINARY HUMANS” are responsible for making the business minded people make more sin. How?. Everyday moring. People in lower class or middle class or upper class wanted to drink “COFFEE OR TEA” with Milk added to satisfy their tongue ?. Then after Ekadasi, we give agatthi keerai to the same cow whom we tortured and drank the Shastric prohibited coffee. What a pathetic situation.

So when DEMAND increases the “SUPPLY” will increase. So the Vegan revolution intention is to reduce the demand, so the supply will reduce. When supply is reduced, the torture on cows/goats to produce excessive milk reduces, which in turn will allow the cows/goats to live their normal life. The mother cows can feed their baby and the excessive remaining milk can be given to humans for consumption.

Same thing, people demand for non vegeterian, so the increase the supply, animals are tortured and “ANIMAL AGRICULTURE” happens like cows are with synthetic growth hormones or antibiotics. Patsture treated with synthetic pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers; produced with GMOs (Genetically Modified Organisms).

So we People in lower class or middle class or upper class are responsible for irresponsible behaviour by demanding something that us against GOD’s WILL, which makes the business minded people to make more supply and they start commiting additional sins.

Nowadays every part of EACH country are bringing this awarness on animals. There are organic natural farms in India and outside India, where they let cows graze on the bare land, and allow it to produce natural milk after it is distributed for humans consumption after baby calf is satisfied ?.

These some explained of positive trend change and not limited to these links.

Organic Cow s ? in USA
https://www.auroraorganic.com

Most cities in USA are afoptibg plant based diet as below:
https://chooseveg.com/blog/best-us-cities-vegan-options/

***************************
Which is what adiyen mentioned in initial thread above with Acharya Krupai and Swami’s Raul.

ThiruvAlluaAr says,

நீ புலாலை மறுத்தால், கொல்லும் தொழிலை செயபவன் அதை மறுத்து விடுவான்.

(இறைவன் அவனுக்கு வேற தொழிலை குடுப்பான்)

[If one denies eating meat and use milk to drink the prohibited Cofee 5~6 times a day, the persons who does the Butcher business /Cofee business will Stop Killing and Selling meat and stop Animal agriculture to produce excessive milk, then “Iraivan (BhagavAN /SUPREME GOD) will provide him another JOB“, Which is what Thiruvallyvar holy words to be adopted in practical world.

So the General Public has the responsibility to follow good things and avoid bad things. As long as the General public does wrong things, the Wrong thing Sellers will exist.

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

With Acharya ThiruvAdi Bhalam and Sri Velukkudi Swami’s Aasirvadham, Adiyen would like to add some references from online sources to this beautiful conversations in this thread about what happens to people who eat Non-Vegetarian as prescribed in the Srimadh BhagavAtam and Manu Smrithi.

Spiritual preceptors all over the world dictate Basic Vegetarianism to get All Mighty GOD (ParamAthma) grace and in more depth Ahara Niyamam for higher level devotees. Those who don’t even follow the Basic Vegetarianism, for those Srimadh BhagavAtam / Manu Smrithi tells about their future.

(Srimad Bhagavatam: 11.5.14)

[“Stubborn, arrogant, and impious persons who do not understand dharma confidently kill animals, but those animals eat them in their next life.”]

This is a cyclic process, unless the one in Human Birth stops it Immediately and involves themselves in Al Mighty GOD service.

****************************

मां स भक्षयिताऽमुत्र यस्य मांसमिहाद् म्यहम् ।

(Sri Manu-smrti: 5.55)

[“Me he will eat in the next life whose meat I eat in this life. The wise say this is the reason meat is known as mamsa (lit. ‘me’-‘he’).”]

Killing animals does not happen only by killing them with one’s own hands. There are many types of animal killing as below Manu-smrti: 5.51.

*********************************

anumanta visasita nihanta kraya-vikrayi
samskarta chopaharta cha khadakas cheti ghatakah

अनुमन्ता विशसिता निहन्ता क्रयविक्रयी ।
संस्कर्ता चोपहर्ता च खादकश्चेति घातकाः

(Sri Manu-smrti: 5.51)

He who approves, he who cuts, he who kills, he who buys and sells, he who cooks, he who serves and he who eats it are ‘slayers’. In the killing of an animal, the permitter, the carver, the killer, the buyer, the seller, the preparer, the server, and the eater—all such persons are included in the class of the slaughterer. .

*****************************************

One set of people stop these eating by following scriptures for Al Mighty GOD Happiness,

Another set of people stop these eating by hardship experiences due to the Fear of getting diseases as seen in current trend.

But BhagavAn (Al Mighty GOD) doesn’t see in which way, one has decided to stop eating these and HE accepts both types of people, since all HE sees is, did you atleast stop eating these now or not, in which ever way you decided and MOVE ON with a PIOUS LIFE then on..

Adiyen (ElayaAlwar) Srinivasa (DhoddayacharyAr) Dasan.
