Swamin,
I agree we have to give dakshina to vadyar and parayana ghoshti generously but while doing their duty they are engaging in bobile talking and talking with each other without concentrating on parayana, how this is justified,or how we have to digest,pl advise.

To give dakshina is our duty advised by God. Our responsibility ceases when we do that. If they engage is unwanted talk, that is of no concern to us. It is they who must be concerned. Question of digestion arises, when we eat the right food. For wrong food, the only way is not to eat !!

Wherever wrong things happen, it should be questioned and if one is powerful, it should be prevented. Otherwise, we also share the negative effects of such things.  When we are not that much powerful or a bit hesitant due to our inherent nature, we should come out of that place and should not encourage such goshits by giving dakshinas. One thing they should watch:  they are all addressed by innocent bhaktas “saami!”.  These Saamis’ behaviour should be commensurate with that.  How many of them do not take meals in hotels at least when they are in their home town; How many of them consume poondu / vengaayam in their houses – we don’t know.

Example: When Draupadhi was humiliated by two Ds and Karna, all the persons who were mute spectators, though they had the duty and power to prevent such worst humiliation, were punished by the Lord.

The same way, Daksha Yagna.

One more doubt arises: In what way, are we, so called Srivaishnavas (most of us are pseudo-spiritualistic people (whether vaideeksas or non-vaideekas) who are after money and comforts that can be got by money, are the only people eligible to sing 4000 in a goshti.  Why can’t that chance be given to all Sri Vaishnavas irrespective of caste subject to a condition that: for the past three generations, they should have adopted vegetarianism and observed Aahaaraa Niyamam etc.  This aspect can be discussed among Jeeyars, Acharyaas and Senior Srivaishnavas as time for this has come because the difference in the conduct of a Srivaishnava Iyengar and a Srivaishnava non-brahmins is gradually coming down.
