Swamy how not to form opinion on someone. In youth spiritual development programme devareer said “listen with open mind”

Isn’t it obvious that our mind will resort to ” Ivar ippadi dhan pesuvar” mindset?

A periyaarist will be an atheist. Are these generalizations correct or not?

Let me say something from Swāmy’s lectures. We form opinion because our Manas is active all time and it receives many things one of which is opinion on someone. Am I right? Swamy says we have to put a filter to our mind just like how we put sweater to external body. So how can we put this filter is through three things – “Understanding (புரிதல்), Brain (புத்தி) , Wisdom (ஞானம்)”. That is we have to use our Viveka gnyanam (பகுத்தறிவு/discrimination) to limit how we perceive others. We shouldn’t take others as how our mind says. We should filter it using our Viveka gnyanam and consider. Also as far as swamy says adiyen thinks it is not possible to not form opinion on anyone. We may have to form opinion but we should not form opinion immediately upon seeing someone. What swamy says to do is let the relationship go for two to three years. Then try to form opinions. Then too use your buddhi extensively to verify the opinion you have formed is indeed correct. Infact in two to three years swamy says the correct opinion about someone will automatically emerge from our mind. So say to your mind let us not form opinion now, let us do it after two to three years. Your mind will listen.
So that is it.
Adiyen referred to En Pani 124 for this. Try listening to that audio.

Looks like we need to take a lot of time to form a generalized opinion on anyone and it will be automatically visble to us. So not forming opinion is practically not possible. It’s a behavioral pattern inscription to our memory.
