Adiyen is a vaishava but a non-brahmin. My father attained SriVaikuntam six months back. I have been checking with many vadyar’s about how we should perform our karma to our father, each vadyar was giving different instructions. We were keen to follow masikam and sodakumbam rituals but dint get the appropriate guidance for it. We recently performed oona masikam for the 6th month. 

Adiyen would like to clarify the below, 

1. Is Masikam and sodakumbam applicable based on varna’s ( only for Brahmins)?
2. Steps to perform Masikam and sodakumbam in the conventional way
3. Significance of Masikam and Sodakumbam rituals
4. Can we give monthly tharpanam after annual shradham
