We Indians keep telling this is the dress code. You should be qualified to learn this so on and so forth.

Secondly we can’t do yoga it’s not applicable in Kali yuga. Even Arjuna a qualified nyAna yOgi was advised not be nyAna yOgi. Kalow sankeerthya keshavam. Sing his name it’s good enough. When you have the easy way why you want to choose tough way?

Thirdly uttering Veda incorrectly gives unintended results. Most important is faith.

The change I find over days:
1. Do yoga, do as excercise at least
2. Foreign kids tell Veda while we originals ought to learn it

I find it very disturbing

Should we do yogA just as excercise and not as part for mOksham?

Should we do Veda adhyayanam as Brahmana or some one else does it?

Why our vedic teachers go to foreign and sell veda?

Yes doing yoga as an exercise to keep the body fit to be able to do Kainkaryam is a correct perception.

Lord Sri Krishna says in 15.15. “vedais ca sarvair aham eva vedyo
vedanta-krd veda-vid eva caham”

“By all the Vedas am I to be known; indeed I am the compiler of Vedanta, and I am the knower of the Vedas”.

So we will not loose anything if we just do Kalow sankeerthya keshavam, to come to this point Veda adhyayanam is a stepping stone if done correctly.

Adiyen remember Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy in one upanyasam saying “These modern day Yogis cannot even decipher the first line of Patanjali maharishi yOga sutram properly”.

The purpose of yoga is defeated here if that is the case. We cannot do something just for the sake of doing.

We can ask “Do we need to know how a fan runs or just enjoy the breeze by switching it on”

I can ask same question “Do I need to know how an AC works or switch it on just for coolness”?

Of course AC is more dangerous than fan because it has filter that accumulates dust spoiling our respiratory system.

Similarly yOga is more critical than other forms of adherence.

Why do we insist on yOga these days?

We talk about Maha avatar babaji , Sai Baba etc

Most of them not accepted by Srivaishnavites AchAryAs.

Still we go behind them though their ideologies are different.They might be great mahAns it doesn’t mean we follow them correct?

Yes swami we need not follow those ideologies..some may be right some may be wrong.. but for us Velukkudi Krishnan Swami has given basic yoga to do in 2018 CD along with Calendar. If we follow that it should be sufficient to maintain good health.

Dear Bhagavatas,

 

‘Aasana’ means ‘Postures’ to bring the body in control first, then do the Yoga. Aasana is for the Body.

‘Yoga’ means thinking/Dyanam about SriKrishna (BhagavANai ninaipadhu) ONLY. Yoga is for the Athma.

In practical world, the word “Aasana” is miscommunicated as Yoga”, which will yield better results for the Body, but not for Athma, since BhagavAn SriKrishna Dyanam is not done.

So, the Aasanas (postures/ exercise) are mistook as Yoga and popularly used in practical world. Also, they do some amount of Dhyanam on something like object or flower or nature. But it will not yielded any results to Athma unless they think about the SUPREME BhagavAn SriKrishna.

By doing Aasanas (controlling the body), it clears the first step to start the “Astanga Yoga” (8 steps in Yoga and each level takes many Janmas to accomplish), which leads to Upansa Margam (Karma-Gyana-Bhakthi-Yoga Margam) and will yield results/Moksha after many Janmas, if continuous Dyanam is done without interruption for many Janmas, like a Oil flow without interruption. So, Rishis follow this method of Upasana Margam.

 

In Sharanagathy Margam, we surrender both Athma and Body to BhagavAn through an Acharyan lotus feet, which results in Moksham in same Janma, PURELY due to Acharya Krupa Kataksham (and not due to our efforts). In the meantime till our body falls down, a Sharanagathan runs his life by doing Kainkaryam for the joy of Thayar-Perumal-Acharyan happiness. Hence, inorder to do kainkaryam, their “Mind/Body” needs to be fit. So, a Sharanagathan does Dyanam to keep Mind fit and Exercise (Aasanas) to keep Body fit.  Also be in natural places (clean air, breathe etc…) and avoid artificial AC etc… to keep body healthy.

 

Hence, a Sharanagathan follows all the aspects of Upasana Margam just for the TIME PASS in their remaining life to keep their Mind/Body healthy for Kainkaryam and NOT as a UPAYAM (MEANS) to Moksham, since UPAYAM (MEANS) to MOKSHAM is Acharyan ThiruvAdi by following Sharanagathy Margam.

 

So, the Aasanas (postures/ exercise) are mistook as Yoga and popularly used in practical world. Also, they do some amount of Dhyanam on something like object or flower or nature. But it will not yielded any results to Athma unless they think about the SUPREME BhagavAn SriKrishna.

For those who are doing ONLY Aasanas/Dyanam without Sharanagthy on Acharyan lotus feet, then, their mind/body only survives and the Athma’s karmas never ends, and they get next janma, since nothing for Athma is done by themselves, by doing Athma Samrpanam on Acharyan lotus feet.

 

Those who believe in UDAYAVAR ThiruvAdi FIRMLY will not follow other persons/sampradhyams. A Srivaishnavaite is not necessary to be a Ramanuja Sambhandhi. A Srivaishnvaite can be anyone who follows SriVishnu. We have followed SriVishnu last Janma plus others as well, and we got this Janma. So, this Janma, we have to be beyond a SriVaishnaviate called as “Ramanuja Sambhandhi” which yields final results of Moksham/Peru Veedu in this Janma, since UdayavAr is SriKrishna Chella Pillai’s DADDY (Holy father) ad Swami’s Marumagal is Yadhugiri Nachiyar (Sri MahalAkshmi).

 

Following Swami Ramanujar Strongly is called as “Vaduga Nambhi NIshtai” and we need to learn how to do it by keeping Swami Vaduga Nambhi’s Lotus feet on our head.

 

Endha Kolathaangarai Pillai (River bank child) SriKrishnaroda naeradiyaaga (directly) sambhandham vaitthal, namma paadu adho gadhi dhaan. Ahunaaley Ramanuja Sambhamdham udaya SriKrishna’nidam sambhandham vaitthal, Bhagava’nukkum nalladhu, namakkum nalladhu.

Why will one do Upasana for TIMEPASS when it’s NOT part of NITHYAKARMANUSHTANAM?

This Upasana is vyartham and should NOT BE DONE in adiyen’s opinion

My point is anything with yoga for a sharanagathan is NOT required as it is not expected out of a sharanagathan.

May be others who doesn’t want to self surrender can follow yoga.

Yes, Bhagavata is correct. We don’t need to follow aspects of Upasana margams, since by keeping body healthy, few MAY automatically get Garvam, which will lead to a thinking that “I can do many things with effort, then why GOD”. So, when our body suffers, ee think more about GOD. But doing Acharam/Anushtanam that Acharyas has told us to do will suffice for healthy body, we dont need to do anything more than what Acharyas are saying.

So, Bhagavata have to continue reading further above lines, reposting it.

So this is an optional for Sharanagathan. We can follow or not follow the good aspects of upasana margam for time-pass, it is purely a individuals personal choice, not mandatory stuff, because how much we keep body fit, it will perish one day, but Athma is already secured to reach Moksham anyway due to Acharya Ramanuja Sambhandham in this janma. Swami Ramanujar followed all the Acharam/Anushtanam for BhagavAn’s happiness during his old age as well without fail. So we can also follow as much as possible to Swami Ramanujar happiness.

It need not exactly be called ‘timepass’ it’s done to express our gratitude and so that shastra vakyam doesn’t remain undone. We can do karma gyana bhakthi yoga daily imbibing it along with our daily deeds. Muyandra varai seyalam since this is not our means for moksha. Reg the other yoga I’m not very sure though. We can do it, or rather skip and instead sweep a dilapitated temple with devotion.

Exactly said BhagavAta.

For Sharanagathan, UpAyam (path/means to Moksham) and UpEyam (Destination is Moksham) is both Sriman Narayanan lotus feet. So a Ramanuja sambhandhi doesn’t worry about “How to reach Mokshsm” as it is already granted by NamPerumal (SriRama) by being a Ramanuja Sambhandhi. In the meantime, till our body falls down, a Ramanuja Sambhandhi involves in Kainkaryam, which is Athmas True Nature (JeevAthma Swaroopam is Sheshan/Adimai to Thayar-Perumal). After our shareeram falls down, we all will continue the Service Nithyam (without any interruption) in SriVaikuntam.

Swami has said the meaning of “Kalakshepam”.

Kalam means Time.
Shepam means Spent.

Kalkshepam means ‘Spent the Time’ in BhagavAt Vishayam as Kainjaryam which is ‘Time-Pass’ for a Sharanagathan, where as others are in search of “what are the ways to reach moksham and what we do inorder to reach moksham”.

Thats why a Ramanuja Sambhandhi Spents the remaining time if their life by doing kainkaryam (either shravanam, keerthanam, aaradhanai, physical service etc.,upasanaas, Dyanam, aasanaas, aacharam, anushtanams,…anything that is said in Shastras just for BhagavAn’s Happiness only not as a means to Moksham) by using their “Mind, Speech, Body (Manam, Mozhi, Vabhusham) with their own Yatha Shakthi (ones own capacity), since we dont need to focus on How to reach Moksham, as Mokshsm is already granted for a Sharanagathan with Swamii Ramanujar’s Krupa Kataksham.

Hence, a Ramanuja Sambhandhi feels sad, when others are looking for ways to reach moksham, when there is already ” Kaiyil Nellikani (Swamis Lotus Feet)”.

Adiyen will post a seperate thread from Swamis pravachanams about 15 ways to get Ramanuja Sambhandham and one if tge way is Samasrayansm/Prapatti). Those who couldn’t folliw this methid xan follow the remaining ways to get Ramanuja Sambhandham and reach Moksham in same Janma. The only criteria to be a Ramanuja Sambhanthi is “Aasai (Desire) and Kritakjgyatha (Grattitude). Any one from any varna/Kulam/any sampradhayam can do this easily, since we ALL are finally “Athma and Property of Sruman NarayanAn” and doesn’t belong to any bodily sampradhayam anyway.

Many in thus forum/enpani has ‘Aasai’ to reach moksham and ‘Grattitude’ towards Sri Velukkudi Swami. Hence, we ALL are Sri Velukkudi Swamis Sambhandhis and Swami inturn is Ramanuja Sambhandhi through Swamis Samasrayana/Prapatti Acharyan. Hence, anyone of SriVelukkudi Swamis sambhandhi is a Ramanuja sambhandhi BY DEFAULT, and Moksham is granted for all the 40,000 or members.

Here is what SriKrishna does for HIS devotees:

Vaeranna vaeranna vaendum, Oru murai sonnaal podhum, nilavayum undhan kaal midhiyaaga vaippaene. Sollavum kooda vaendaam, kann imaitthaalaey podhum, kelvigal indri uyirayum tharuvaeney….

வேறன்ன வேறன்ன வேண்டும், ஒரு முறை சொன்னால் போதும், நிலவையும் உந்தன் கால் மீதியாக வைப்பயனே. சொல்லவும் கூட வேண்டாம், கண் இமைத்தாலேய போதும், கேள்விகள் இன்றி உயிரையும் தருவேனே….

This may sound like a movie song but lot of tattva arthams inside as:

“Oru murai” Sharanam yendru sonnaal podhum.

“nilavayum” represents Peru Veedu (Moksham) will be granted.

“Sollavum kooda vaendaam” is not even necessary to say Sharanam.

“Kann imaitthalaey podhum” is just express the desire for Moksham to Serve by flickering our eyes.

“Kelvigal indri” without any questions/with no doubht due to BhagavAns NirAnkusa Swanthantriyam (non questionable independence).

“Uyirayum tharuvaeney” : BhagavAn himself is the ultimate Uyir ( Parama Athma, supreme Uyir). Avar avaraye namakku kudutthu viduvaar.

“Vaeranna vaeranna vaendum”: When BhagavAn gives Himself to us, what else do we ‘Jeevathmas’ need from SriKrishna, as How HE gave HIMSELF to HIS pure devotee Andal/Swami NamAlwar and all Alwars pure devotee is Swami UdayavAr and Udayavar’s pure devotees are all Asmadh Acharyas/Mahans like our Sri Velukkudi Swami and inturn we ALL are their pure devotees.

So “Kaiyil Nellikanni”, Swamis Lotus Feet us PeruVeedu for us.
