Sri:

Adiyen believe it was DhandakAraNyam forest.

Rishis complained: Hey SriRam! Rakshas are cruel. Not letting us do yagnyam.

I lost one Hand. (Complaint)

SriRam in response: Look at the other Rishi, he lost two hands! You are far better. (SamAdhAnam)

Another Rishi: Rakshas swallowed another Rishi
(Complaint)

SriRam: At least you are alive! (SamAdhAnam)

This SamAdhAnam is hypothetical.

In Sri VaishNavism we are being told to be satisfied whatever we have.

Didn’t Rishis complain?

Don’t they know because of past Karma they have been disabled?

Did Sri Ram say SamAdhAnam or he responded

Sri Ram: I should have not let you ask in first place. It’s my duty as a Kshatriya to protect you and forest is also under my Governance

Why are we being told to be satisfied with what we have? Is compromise the only way of life?
