Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

Namaskaram Vijaynambhi Swami,

With Acharya ThiruvAdi Bhalam and Velukkudi Swami’s Aasirvadham / Abhimaanam, adiyen will share few things in General.

A well Balanced life is not just limited on how to behave with friends, it is much beyond than that, like how we interact with Everyone around us either inside home or within extended family members or in a school or college or work place or Temples etc……Though we can quote numerous verses from “BhagavAt Gita” about VIRTUE, the truth lies in how we apply in our own life.

Like,

1) One becomes Virtue by “Experience” without knowing BhagavAt Gita,

2) Another becomes Virtue by “Following” after knowing BhagavAt Gita.

For type 1) people, it is easier to continue to be Virtue and grasp BhagavAt Gita easily, since they feel happy that Gita is a confirmation of their virtue life.

For type 2) people, it takes time to be Virtue, since they are studying the process (BhagavAt Gita) before exhibiting / applying in life.

But both type people, definitely requires BhagavAn’s grace to either “become Virtue or continue to be Virtue”.

*****************************

Some general ideas of what “VIRTUE” means from blogs. Definitely there is one to one verses from BhagavAt Gita for these.

Kindness. Honesty. Service. Virtues are the essence of our character and when we keep the practice of virtues at the heart of everyday life, we live with purpose.

Virtue, is the moral excellence of a person. Morally excellent people have a character made-up of virtues valued as good. They are honest, respectful, courageous, forgiving, and kind, for example.

They do the right thing, and don’t bend to impulses, urges or desires, but act according to values and principles. Some might say good qualities are innate, but we’re not perfect. Virtues need to be cultivated to become more prevalent in life. With the habit of being virtuous, we take the helm of our own life, redirecting its course towards greater happiness and fulfillment.

Why Practice Virtues?

Virtues are universal and recognized by all cultures/religions as basic qualities of well-being. When we practice virtues and build our “character muscle,” we attract what may have been missing in our life such as fulfilling relationships and achievement of meaningful goals. But it’s not easy. So often we know that it takes perseverance to reach our goals, and we still never get there. We know if we forgive, we’ll be less angry and resentful. We know it takes courage to accomplish great things. So why then, if we know what to do, are we still stuck? Because we have not yet consciously and boldly applied a virtue to a given situation so as to alter its outcome such as in these examples:

  • Discipline enables a person to achieve the goal of running a 25-mile race, creating better health.
  • Kindness towards someone who is having a bad day can make him or her smile and build rapport.
  • Creativity can result in an idea that changes how people relate to one another such as social media.
  • Trust in a relationship fosters dependability and intimacy, creating valuable, meaningful relationships.
  • Gratitude in a job loss can shift our focus from feeling low to how we can have a new, more fulfilling career.
  • Service to Almighty GOD & others can change lives, better neighborhoods and create stronger nations.

Becoming More Virtuous People

We know we are becoming more virtuous people, not only because of the results above but also because of the way other people respond to us. Our friends, families, co-workers, neighbors and devotees will trust and rely on us. They will come to us for guidance and help. They will want us to be around them, because we inspire them to become better people. People will know us as someone with an exceptional character who makes the right choices and strives for excellence in all we do. Can life be lived any better?

This is a beautiful process that BhagavAn has set up to make us Virtuous (.a.k.a Sathvika Character)

***********************

So, it seems devareer is in type1) people category. So Adiyen will request devareer to continue your virtuous life with BhagavAn’s grace and devareer will be untouched by surroundings and devareer will live through the hoops and eventually surrounding people will become Virtue due to your Virtuous nature.

Srimate Ramanujaye namaha!
Namaskaaram!
Few tips:
1. Always think that your Acharyaa and Perummal are watching your behaviour and they are next to you.
2. Limit your interactions and centre around it on professional discussions alone.
3. Among your classmates identify those who are innocent and good hearted..share some spiritual basic principles or stories with them according to their level like being non violent , truthfulness etc..
4. Have a very tight schedule of doing basic anushtaanam, reading scriptures and studying academics well, automatically with no idle time all other problems will be taken care of.
5. Dont care too much about the comments made by non devotees about your lifestyle.

Please note step 3 is applicable only to those who have very strong faith in Perumaal and acharya, otherwise step 3 can be skipped temporarily until we reach there.instead we can share some good prasadam regularly .
