Swamin,

Nowadays in many places english words are being used for greetings or wishing/blessing people. Few examples like Wishing for Birthday, Marriage etc…

Adiyen believe there must be pasurams that can be used to wish/bless people on those suba ocassions like Birthday, Marriage, Gruhapravesam, Upanayanam, Sastiyapthapoorthi etc.. For example: we chant “Nalla kotpaluhangal moorinullum” when we give thamboolam to people.

Adiyen requesting to kindly share those pasurams that can be chanted for each occassions. Kindly share which pasuram to be chanted for which occassion and how to chant (elders to youngers or youngers to elders or common to both).

Danyoshmin Swamin.

To clarify this question is not of laukeeka but to apply spirituality in laukeeka so normal life becomes spiritual way of living.

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami Guruve Namaha,

Dear BhagavAta,

When we give Sambhavanai/Dhakshinai to Adiyars who are doing Perumal Kainkaryams, then at that time, Thiruppavai pasuram 3 is sung.

ஓங்கி உலகு அளந்த உத்தமன் பெயர் பாடி ……………….

…………….. நீங்காத செல்வம் நிறைந்து (don’t say “Empavai” at this time at the end).

As BhagavAta has said, “Nalla Kotpaluhangal…….” can be used to bless younger members in family on birthday occasions etc…

Technically, We can only receive Blessings from Acharyas/Mahans, but if we need to bless someone young in our family, then we have to consider ourselves as “THIRUVADI” of our Guru through which, our GURU’s Karunai Kataksham is transferred to others through us. Adiyen believe, other than this consideration, we cannot bless anyone directly. Only Acharyas/Mahans can bless others directly due to their Nishtai.

In general, the elders in family should consider themselves as THIRUVADI of their own Guru and bless the youngsters “Gyanam, Vyragyam, Bhakthi, Snehatthodu Shemamaaga Irumm“, which is the purpose of life.

When the elders/youngsters go and get Acharyas/Mahans like Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami’s Dharishanam, we get the same 5 blessings from them plus additional blessing as “Nalam Antham Illa Thoor Naadu Puguveer“, which is nothing but Moksha/SriVaikunta/Peru Veedu Praapthi in same Janma that can be given ONLY by JagadhAcharya Swami Ramanujar due to Swami’s NirHedhukai Krupai, which is the ULTIMATE blessing one can receive. Then BhagavAn Sriman NarayanAn grants Moksham immediately.

Adiyen believe, this also touch-bases ‘Ram2000 BhagavAta’s question as well.
