He is believed to be one of the  Nithyasuris – Ananthan, Adiseshan.  He might have returned to his original position.  Adiseshan is the son of Kadru, one of the wives of Rishi Kashyap.  His brothers were evil; but he was not for it, he did tapas to please Lord Mahavishnu and became His everything.  However, in my opinion, he could not leave his natural svabhaav, passed on as gene from Kadru.

1. As Lakshmana, he mistook Bharata as enemy of Lord Rama and HISSED.
2. As Balarama, he had soft corner towards Duryodana and in the climax, he would have killed Bheema, but for Lord Krishna’s intervention. HE HISSED.
3. As Balarama, he killed Romaharshanar, just because he did not stand up when he came.  HE HISSED. Later he realized his fault and made Roamharshanar’s son to his father’s position and went on theertha yaatra.
4. As Acharya Ramanuja, HE HISSED to argue with Samanars.
5. As Acharya Ramanuja, he rebuked and HISSED against Kooraththaazvaan; then later realized that Kooraththaazhvaan was right.
6. He DID NOT HISS against Chola king.  But, he renounced her dutiful pathni in a deceitful and he HISSED here.
