Sri:

We see Paramahamsa Yogananda, Ramana Maharshi, Maha Periyava, Periyava’s brotherb(SIR Swamy), Maha Avatar Babaji.

I don’t have qualifications to measure how much realised they are but when they have their own notions of realisation why insist on Sri VaishNavam?

We anyway don’t have tangible accounts of after life souls. Once departed, our connection to them is more or less fragile.

They also can be born in different family or attain Moksham.

So, main point is to try to realise during life isn’t it?

When they can feel the ecstacy of God or Godliness during life why we in SriVaishNavam don’t approve such methods of exploration?

Ramanujar showed Urangavillidasar the real eyes if SriRanganathan so they became SriVaishNavites from their on.

Same applies for any custom follower right?

If someone say, “I experienced something in their customs” who are we to deny & say SriVaishNavam the only correct way?

We know one Azhwar got attached to lord Siva Lingam and was later realised by a PAsuram.

Of course every religion will say their God is better.

In above case Azhwar realised the earlier line of worship may not be fruitful.

Again, it was Azhwar’s own realisation and nothing was forced.

So question boils down to:

Why not allow exploration and select the parth so that let the divine select us when the time comes?

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

Some faith stop right there when soul realization is achieved, but Realization of the soul (JeevAthma) itself is not the purpose of life (நான் ஏன் பிறந்தேன்). The realization of soul is “included” in SriVaishnavism and beyond.

Any JeevAthma in any body in any any religion always has the quest to know the purpose of life and relief and what is permanent happiness, which is well explained in SriVaishnavism by Swami RamanujAr.

Those are in Artha Panchakam.

1) Who are we? (Athma-swarupam)
2) Who is the Ultimate Supreme Lord? (Paramathma-swarupam)
3) What’s the Athma’s Ultimate goal/destination? (Purushartha-swarupam or Upeya-swarupam)
4) The ways to attain that Ultimate goal. (Upaya-swarupam)
5) The hindrances in attaining our Goal. (Virodhi-swarupam).

So Thirumazhisai Alwars who was trying to get these answers was not satisfied from the religions who HE initially got acquainted. Finally when HE met Pey Alwar, His questions were answered, thus Thirumazhisai Alwar became a great Alwar there after.

So no one in SriVaishnavism stops or holds anyone from exploring, it depends up on what type of questions and answers they are looking for to get satisfied. But the Athma’s quest will ONLY end ultimately to Arth Panchakam after getting slowly clarified in many janmas, since other quests lasts only for few periods or janmas and not a permanent satisfaction to any jeevAthma.

This is the status of all jeevathmas in any religion and even within the Santana dharmam.
