When heart transplant is done will athma interchange?

Srimathe Rangaramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha

Based on EnpaNi 837 adiyen got a question. Heart surgery is fine understandable but when heart transplant is done how will the athma behave?

Will it exit and re-enter body? Or will it hide somewhere? Adiyen understand that consciousness still persists so it has to be the same athma.

Please clarify Swami

Adiyean!

My understanding (based on Swamiji’s pravachanams)is that Aathma is not bound with any of the organ. Same as the Param Aathmaa’s position. Both Aathma and Paramaathmas are existing inside this Pancha Boodha Sareeram. Might be positioned near the heart… but not bound. Hence, the question of what if the oran is removed or transferred would not be valid.

Stitched with hairs inside 9 exits. The Athman’s prabhAvam is spread all over shareeram that’s why we realise pain – Velukkudi Krishnan Swami.

Then why is AthmA related to hrudhaya kamalam? If hrudhayam is not the organ then is it the manas?

In Nrusimha avatharam , when hiranyakashipu came in search of Sriman NArayana, Vishnu says to Lakshmi “Let’s hide inside his heart that’s the only place he doesn’t know” – Sri Mukkur Lakshmi NrusimhAchAriyAr

Near heart is not convincing explanation to adiyen. AthmA is NOT prAnan. So body may live during heart transplant (irrespective of consciousness). Of course athmA cannot be seen within heart if we cut it open but it does not mean athmA does not reside within heart when shAstrAs says so.

“Might be positioned” is not an appropriate answer adiyen. It may not be bound as it is not sthoolA but why inside and outside body comes into picture when it’s unbound?

Sri:

Got answer adiyen.Ref: EnPaNi “What happens to bhooma devi after destruction of earth?”

Bhumi different from bhuma devi

Varuna different from varuna devan

Sooryan different from Soorya Narayanan

Former = Physical

Latter=Athman

Meaning:

the physical changes does not impact athman

Sri Ramanuja Munaye Namaha,

Dear Bhakta’s,

Fortunately, adiyen came across Swami’s Enpani audio #665 “Where does Atma Reside”, which provides additional clarity.
