Namaskaram Swamy, Could you please let us know how many faces are to be lit daily in a kuthu vilakku and in which direction.
My wife light all the 5 faces during festivals and two faces one facing east and other facing north rest of the days.
Few say one face either towards east or north is fine but others say two faces are compulsory.
If it is a Kamachi vilakku then no choice, only one can be lit.
