Namaskaram swamy.

I listened to your latest upanyasam on “Manavala Mamunigalin Yojana Bhedangal”, which was explained nicely.

Vedas are stated be karma kandams. Nevertheless, it also mentions about two worlds, creation, all pervasiveness, supremacy of Gods etc., Rig veda mentions Gods / Devas such as Vishnu, Indra, Agni, Varunan, Soman, Rudra to be supreme at various places. adiyen understand that  there is even a mention, Soman created Vishnu.

How do we interpret this?.

Whether these details fall under yojana bhedam?.

Why at all different Gods / Devas are indicated to be supreme in such a sacred scripture?

What is the significance for such mention?.

P.S : Presence of Narayanan in all Gods / Devas as anthayami is not mentioned in Rig veda and hence, thinking whether there can be any reason other than anthayamin concept.

Sri. Velukkudi Krishnan swamy,

Namaskaram. A pleasant surprise in the morning. Thank you very much for taking your time and replying through enpani audio #2318 titled வேதப் பகுதிகளில் முரண்பாடு இருக்கிறதா?. It has given a clear and detailed explanation.

adiyen is going through the Upanishads to get some detail to the extent of my understanding (may not be insight, do not know to what extent adiyen will be successful. I will come up with some more queries). My intention is to go through relevant main vedic scriptures and read 4000 divya prabhandam in detail. The idea of posting query is not doubting on VishishtAdvaitam but to get the clarity from learned acharyas like you, because as you have mentioned whole of the relevant scriptures are to be read and not in bits and pieces. This probably would be difficult for people like me.

adiyen would like to put up a few points

  1. Shankaracharya is a proponent of advaitam and gave commentaries on many vedic scriptures detailing on advaita philosophy. He has also given Baja Govindam, which recommends to Choose Lord Govinda as Ultimate Goal of one’s life.
  2. I have observed chanting of dwadasa nama of Lord Narayanan during the final rites of Iyer.
  3. During veda chanting, they start with saying Hari hi Om.
  4. About 1.5 years back, I sent some queries to one advaita swamy and two vishishtAdvaitam swamis. Advaita swamy started with Hari Om, in his response.

Hari carries few meanings, one of them is One who remove sins. Probably, they might have meant that than pointing the name of Lord.

At the outset, there appears to be usage of name associated with vishishtAdvaitam, by people of other faith also.
