I would like to know the Vahana of Laksmi Devi. Sometimes She is seen on lotus with elephants beside. In fact in Thiruchanoor the most celebrated vahana is Gaja Vahana. She is also seen on an owl.
I seek help for this with reference to sastras.

Gaja-Lakshmi is seen along with elephants, but not sitting and traveling on an elephant. isn’t it?
As far as I understand Thayar travels only with Perumal. And their official vahanam is Garuda-azhwaar. If Perumal chooses any other Vahanam, Thayar goes along.

Lakshmi is Simha vahini . Her vahana is lion.
But in thiruchanoor it is different because while padmavati was in a human forum she cannot use lion . So, padmavathi used elephant
