To know perumals wish

Namaskaram swamy,

I have got one confusion which is striking my mind and not able to get the answer.

I am preparing for govt exam for the past 1 year and exams to be in next.6 months.Actually for the past 1 year,through perumals grace adiyen got chance to hear thiruppavi,thirupallaandu ,bhagavat gita (some extent) from our achariyar videos.

After started reading pasurams,i am getting thought if we go to job it will be like upto 58 years or 60 yrs we have to be in enthrathanam life and not sure whether we will get time to read pasuram or close to perumal.We can do but not that much adding with other responsibilitynplus job.So do we need to do that.Goal should be to reach him and live accordingly.

But other thought also coming like if we go to job only we can do kaikariam to perumal,bhagavathas and achariyar guru dakshanai. I dont know how the person to marry me will be?we should expect him to give money to do perumal kaikariyam or achariyar dakshana.All persons will not be same at all time.so we should go ?

This 2 thoughts are flashing in my mind and not able to get answer?I left to perumal feet.

Yamuna-amma, namaskaram. So happy to see your devotional heart. By acharya-anugraham, Perumal will definitely arrange the right kind of person as spouse.

Regarding whether or not to go for a job, this decision can be made only after considering a lot of factors specific to your situations.

My humble suggestion is, you must prepare for the exam with full focus and get the the highest position possible. We need devoted persons like you to decorate government offices. This will benefit the society a lot. And Perumal may even offer you a position in the management of one of His temples! Wouldn’t that be wonderful! Please prepare for the exam with this dream as your goal.

After getting the job, if you feel the job is not facilitating your devotional engagements in life, or if it does not suit your family situation at that time, then you may give it up.

For now, please prepare for the exams with full focus.

Thank you swamy for clarifying.Adiyen got somewhat clarity in my mind now.I will start preparing for the exams with full focus.

As you said,adiyen will get information about other job options available (apart from teaching) that will give devotional satisfication and share in this forum.

Srimate Raamanujaye Namaha,

I heard the enpani audio related to this thread yesterday and read this thread only now.

I would like to list some options as Swami suggested, other devotees can also add..jobs which can be more inclined towards Kainkaryam..

Teaching in schools/colleges
Home tutions- school subjects/dance/singing etc.
Play school for small children ( nice slokas, habits etc can be inculcated to children as most mothers are working)
small scale cooking and distribution of prasadam (well cooked prasadam can change the hearts of many people)
Painting/hand craft of Perumaal pictures etc.
maintaining a small farm along with goshala ( possible for those in remote places and with some prior experience)

As Swamy indicated, the relevant options depend on the persons family background, circumstances and nature.

I remember there was another old thread with similar discussion, will try to find that .
