Actually there is a correction Bhagwan is residing in every thing , No doubt about it, he is Antaryami . Now as far as you want to know about “Amara” Prabhu then we must talk about the Param Porul  who is the lord of the Devas who are immortal – “A ” ‘Mara”

And for discussing the lord of trees then he is “Mara Prabhu”

If you want to know about Bhagwan as a Mara Prabhu( lord of the trees) then in Gita 

Lord Krishna cites in 10th chapter,26th slokam, that out of all the trees in the world he is Ashwatha Maram,( Banyan Tree) that does’nt mean he is not there in any other, as stated earlier that he is Antaryami and Sarva -vyapakan ,therefore he is present in all but out of all the most superior is the tree mentioned above. Now, there is Kshetram in North India close to Ayodhya namely NaimiSharanyam, which signifies that the lord is present there in Vana Roopam and to make us feel remember that everywhere.

Based on recent Sahasranamam Upanyasam from Krishna Premi Swamigal:
The story goes like this. NArAyaNa Bhattathree corrected a staunch Vishnu devotee from saying “Mara Prabhu:” as its incorrect Sanskrit Pronunciation.

Then that devotee cried and could not sleep properly. He stopped saying Sahasranamam as Bhattathree knows better Sanskrit.

Vishnu came in Bhattathree’s dreams & said “Who are you to correct? am I not Prabhu to trees? I have told I will be as Ashwatha maram. So he is right”

Next day Bhatathree Apologized to that Sahasranamam continued…
