Mealum Swami koorugiraar in upanyasams that, Bhakthi-yoga Maargatthin angangalai Bhagavanukku “Kainkaryam’aaga oru Sharanagathan seyyalaam. Aanal Mokshatthirkku Upayamaaga seyya koodadhu, yen yendral, adhu Bhagavanidan Vyapaaram (business) seyyuvadhu pol aagi vidum.

A Sharanagathan can do aasanaas, exercise, yoga, mana adakkam to keep body/athma fit to be best as said in Bhakthi-yoga Margam, so that the body can be used as a tool by a Sharangathan to do Kainkaryam to BhagavAn and Acharyas till the Sharanagathan’s body falls down and attain Acharyan ThirudAvi with Swami Ramanuja Grace in this birth.

So, a Sharanagathan can consider, ‘Kainkaryme’ (கைங்கரியமே ) Karma-Yoga, ‘Thannilai arive’ (தன்னிலை அறிவே ) Gyana-yoga, ‘Viruppame’ (விருப்பமே )  Bhakthi-yoga. Swami has delivered upanyasams in these topics.

Hare Krishna! Aneha koti namaskaram Sri Velukkudi swamy & devotees.

After sharanaagathi, there is no duality.

Bhagavad Gita 7.17 Of these, the man of knowledge, being ever with Me in Yoga and devoted to the One only, is the foremost; for I am very dear to the man of knowledge and he too is dear to me.

Bhagavad Gita 7.18  All these are indeed generous (udārāḥ), but I deem the man of knowledge to be My very self; for he, integrated, is devoted to Me alone as the highest end.

Sarvam Sri Krishnaarpanam!

The sentence “there is no duality” needs explanation.

The duality of Perumal and jiva exists always. If the two merged as one, then there is no need to say “I am dear to him and he too is dear to Me”. If both are merged into one, then there is no “Me” and ‘him”. Since Perumal clearly identifies “Me” and “him” as two entities, it clearly establishes that the duality of Perumal and Jiva exists always.

Then what does it mean when Perumal says “I deem the man of knowledge to be My very self”? It means their interest is one. Both the shesha and sheshi are interested in the Bhogatvam of the Sheshi. Perumal derives happiness by accepting our loving services; we the Jiva’s derive happiness by rendering service to Perumal. Such a man of knowledge, i.e. one who has the clear knowledge of the eternal relationship between the shesha and Sheshi is in oneness of interest with the Lord.
