Rama’s rescue of Ahalya

Swami,

Sita atoned for the sin of abusing Lakshmana Swamy and had been performing Saranagathi to Lord Rama for saving Her in the shackles of Ravana and the Lord rescued.

Draupadi also surrendered to Kannan several times for rescue. Rukmini also performed Saranagathi for wedding to Kannan.

But, Ahalya was cursed by Gowthama rishi and may I know why Rama has to redeem her as am unaware of the saranagathi of Ahalya to the Lord? I see some depth in meaning but fail to understand.

Whenever there is a curse or boon by a Rishi, it amounts to Niyata karma, which has to happen as the time place and person uttered by the Rishi. There was no such condition for Sita Draupadi or Rukmini so they had to surrender to invoke God. In the case Ahalya, it was Niyata karma and so has to happen even without Saranagati.
