Questions from four years old

Namaskaram.

Few days back, my grand son, four years old, asked :-

What I was before, from where and how did I come to mother’s stomach?.

I told him, you can not understand, if I reply now. I do  not know why you have not reached Him. I do  not know to undergo which karma, you are here.

Obviously, he could not have understood.

On an another day, he asked what for this world exists?.

I would like to answer him properly when appropriate time comes.

We can not underestimate children, also I do not know such questions are common amongst children nowadays.

Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy Thiruvadigaley Sharanam
Sri:

Children should be taught how to explore by themselves. Else they may not be convinced.

I myself is an example of self exploration. It is like தனி ஆவர்த்தனம்.

I believe they have to explore on their own, but need catalyst.

Yes adiyen,

We need to guide them. We have to give certain baseline though like

“Perumal irukkAr”.

2nd STD book says “Living things” vs “Non living things”

Living eppadi “thing” Agum?
Only non-living classified as “things” correct?

Shouldn’t it be “Living being” vs “Non living being”?

Irukku = being

Uyirodu irukku
Uyir illAmal irukku

Irandum irukku dhAn

Irundhadhu also represents by kAlam

Irukkum also is future of something existing to be

Without that “existence” irukkum has no sense

For eg: A carpenter doing a table

Existence of Table was already declared as a table made of wood or something coming into being (non-living)

“Something cannot emerge out of nothing”

(Exactly opposite to Bouddha theory which banks on nothing)

So being talks about existence always

Pls note: The word non-existence is made out of existence only.

Non-existence cannot be denoted as a proper noun.

So Narayana is a proper noun I believe.

Sriman Narayana denotes existence and being

I have not mentioned ‘guidance’ intentionally. In case of guidance, there is a possibility of ‘following’ what is told as guidance, rather than exploring. Once if one goes into ‘follow’ mode there is a chance that he may not explore. Exploration will give immense confidence. Elders can be a catalyst and encourage to enable the youngsters to think and  explore.

Srimathe Rangaramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha

🤔 Guru = The guiding light.
One need not explore to traverse the path that was already travelled before.

Not understood the meaning of “catalyst” when one can’t guide!!!

That being the case am recollecting Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy’s interesting example

Other religion will misguide as = Soham
SriVaishnavan corrects = Da-soham
Other religion changes mind = Sa-Da-Soham
SriVaishnavan corrects = Da-Sa-Da–Soham

So it will take time & there is a chance of having ahiprAya bedham on sampradhayam due to Kali yugam

Edhukku ivlo Q & A sampradhayam vittu veliya pogavA?

I am not talking about pre-judice, adiyen saying
“Proper justice”

Enakkey Bouddham soldradhu correct nu thonirukku
Jainism soldradhu correct nu thonirukku

Edhukku ivlo violence? Why sacrifice in yAgam etc?

Krishna Premi answered “ShAstrathirkku viruddhama enna nalladhu panninAlum punyathula serAdhu”

Like sitting on hot rock , plucking one’s own hair, troubling one-self but showing compassion even to insects!!!

No violence means no violence, self violence mattum koodumA?

So Swamy, first, show the lesson book, then ask him to explore. ShAstram should be the baseline !

Correcta thappa nu apuram kathukkattum.

Your points are well taken.

One should have interest, only then he can be guided. Without interest, guidance will not work. Catalyst is to induce interest and sustain the same.

I told him the story of Prahaladhan and Hiranyan, emphasized the omnipresence characteristic of Him.

For about ten days, he is showing lot of interest to play ‘paramapadham’ giving priority over other games, do not know whether it is due any vasana. I explained him about the philosophy behind the game, like snake represents papa and ladder represents punya. The idea is to attain, ‘paramapadham’ viz., vaikuntam, the adobe of Narayanan. He immediately said, God is there in temple and how come at ‘paramapadham’. Then I told He is there everywhere including me and him, mentioning about omnipresence. It should have kindled within him. This is what I meant by catalyst.

He is too young to provide him shastram in any book form, knows only alphabets, hence presently only some principles can be told.

He also watches animated story of young Krishna.
