Pleasure and Pain

Hare Krishna! Aneha koti namaskaram to Sri Velukkudi Swami!

In many verses of Bhagavat Gita, lord mentions that one should practice to get over the duality of pleasure and pain and and that the Jiva attains the lord at the end, which is the perfect goal of human life. But where does the lord talk about the ‘eternal’ happiness in spiritual abode in Bhagavat Gita ?

How do we understand that there is eternal happiness in Vaikuntham ? which is trouble/pain free abode ?

எல்லா இருமைகளிலும் இருந்து விடு பட்ட பின், இன்பம் (பேரின்பம்?) என்பது மட்டும் எப்படி சாத்தியம் ?

[After surpassing all sort of dualities, how is it logical to think there is ‘eternal’ happiness ? ]

[There is so much of beating in life for going behind sensual / temporary happiness, is there any hidden agenda in going behind ‘eternal’ happiness ?]

Sarvam Sri Krishnaarpanam!

Anesthesia makes us forget pain. So it means disattachment will make us forget pain. Let’s assume the Anesthesia is eternal. So pain is forgotten permanently.

Adiyean is replying  here from what is heard from Swamigal’s Pravachanams.

Pleasure and/or pain is experienced as a result of Kharmas  by this logha sareeram. Booh ogha sareeram is Pancha bowthigam or made of Five elements – Prithvi, Appu, Thejas,Vayu and Akhasam – and is subject to the Mukkunam- Sathva, Rajas and Thamas and hence entwined with Kharmas. The pleasure that experience in this Lokha is short one and not eternal.

Here, Aathma is not earning Kharmas ; it is because of the pancha bootha Sareeram’s actions.

In Nithyaviboothi, the Swaroopam is Apragratham ( same like Bhaghawan’s)- not made of 5 elements- and also possess only Sathavam.
Saathveegha Apragratha Swaroopam. There, the pleasure that you experience is not as as result of your kharmas but because of  Saathveega ambiance which is long lasting or eternal.

Adiyean,
Ramanuja Dhasan.
