Pranams to Sri. Velukkudi Swamy.

I am a spiritual aspirant and ‘mumukshu’. I am a Baktha of Sriman Narayanan. Ever since, I started wondering about the Para Brahmam / Divinity / Supreme Being, I had some doubts. In the process, I read some of our scriptures. I also heard several of the discourses of Sri. Velukkudi Swamy on several topics on spirituality. They were very informative and thought provoking. Hence, I thought this may be a suitable place to get my doubts clarified. I have mentioned them below with a hope to get clarification.

1. Who is the Para Brahmam referred in Vedas and Upanishads ?. Is Sriman Narayanan abode of Vaikuntam is referred as Para Brahmam in Vedas and Upanishads ?.

2. Who created Para Brahmam and Jeevatmas ?. It is said that Para Brahmam is Anadi and was self created. My ignorant mind does not accept this concept of Anadi. I believe there should have been a beginning.

3. Where from the five elements come at the beginning of creation to create such a massive and voluminous Leela Vibhudhi ?.

4. Why should Para Brahmam exist at all ?. In the absence of Para Brahmam, Jeevatma would not have existed, hence there would not have been any cycle of births.

5. What would happen in the case of absence of Para Brahmam and Leela Vibhudhi ?.

I request you to elucidate on the above. I hope to get the explanation.

I listened to En Pani 1786. Since i had difficulty in posting here, I sought guidance from kinchit.org, mailing my queries and requested for reply from Velukkudi Swami. It appears my request is considered and replied through En Pani 1786. I am delighted and express thanks to Velukkudi Swami and one and all in this process.

I retired recently from my job. I have been interested in spirituality from my early 20’s and doing sadhanas from my early 30’s. These queries are there for quite a long time. God has given me opportunity to go through a few of our scriptures.

I am happy that my queries are replied. I am a staunch believer in Para Brahmam. I don’t deny our existence. As Swami mentioned, I am convinced about Anadi since it is mentioned in our Sastras. We do not have any reference better than our Sastras. Velukkudi Swami being a learned swami and an expert in this field, I was trying to understand is there any other answer. Having got the reply IT is Anadi, I will leave at that.

I have a feeling, Swami has not touched on point No 1, 3 and the point : Why should Para Brahmam exist at all ?. What is the reason for the existence of Para Brahmam, since Para Brahmam had nothing to achieve.

I would be too happy, if the above are also addressed.

Q1 is answered in Bhagavat geeta audios or upanyasams, where it is declared that Sri Krishna is the parabrahmam.
Q3 is answered in other audios like Bhagavatam upanyasams ..you can search swami s youtube channel for bhagawatam upanyasams.
Reg “why should para brahman exist at all” swami has touched in this current enpani audio, stating that when the reality is souls exist and parabrahmam also exist..why should we question the opposite..
My understanding is swami is suggesting that we should accept reality as it exists instead of an imaginary state where nobody exists.

Also i think the very reason we are in leela vibhuti is we dont want to accept para brahman s existence.
Also parabrahmam exists to exchange loving relation with his part and parcels jeevatmas..

Question 1:

 “sarvasya cāhaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭo
mattaḥ smṛtir jñānam apohanaṁ ca
vedaiś ca sarvair aham eva vedyo
vedānta-kṛd veda-vid eva cāham” BG 15.15.

Lord Sri Krishna says “I am seated in everyone’s heart, and from Me come remembrance, knowledge and forgetfulness. By all the Vedas, I am to be known. Indeed, I am the compiler of Vedānta, and I am the knower of the Vedas.”

Question 3: For the exact audios on Bhagavtam, adiyen not sure, but most of the Bhagavatam series will have a small portion about creation of this world. You can check for audios related to 1st canto  chapter 3 or , 2nd canto chapter 4. I am not sure, i am just trying my best, 

last part: i referred to the current latest anpani audio which swami answered your quesiotns, he has taken up this part as well.

And regarding your assumption that souls are created by Parabrahman, let me clarify that  souls are also anaadhi and co-existent always. Parabrahman only assigns a role , place and name according to our desire  either in nitya vibhuti or in leela vibhuti.

I am thankful for your time and efforts in attempting to explain for the queries posted by me.

Your attempt to illustrate with Gita sloka in such a short time is really commendable.

I will listen to Bhagavatham, esp those indicated by you.

I listened to En Pani audio 1786.

The clarifications are well taken. I think the volunteers of Swami is carrying out a wonderful work for the spiritual aspirants.
