Namaskaram Swamy

Do 3rd and 4th days from Ammavasai pass on any effect whether positive or negative ?

Generally, Sukla Paksham is considered good compared to Krishna Paksham (Inspite of Krishna name !). What is the reason ? How the pakshams got their names ?

Are there any other factors to be seen while seeing good time for marriage, seemantham etc during these pakshams ?

We request your clarifications.

Yours sincerely

SriHari swamy, namaskaram. I’ll answer only one part of your question. The rest, let us wait to hear from those who know.

Our Perumal has a beautiful dark complexion. Therefore ‘darkness’ is fortunate to derive its name from Perumal’s name – “Krishna”. You may have heard ‘Krishna’ as an adjective in other cases also; for example the Tulasi plant with darker leaves are called “Krishna- Tulasi”. கருவேப்பிலை  is called Krishna-nimbaha (கருப்பு – Krishna – dark ; வேம்பு – nimbaha – neem). Similarly the darker phase of the moon is also fortunate to have the adjective “Krishna”-paksham.

adiyen dasan.
