other religion people

Namaskaram Swamy,

Nowadays, I see other religion people are coming to Hindu temple. I saw Muslims in Mannai Sri Rajagopalaswamy and Sri Uppiliappan temples a few months ago. They were standing before Dwajasthambam.

I also saw some muslims inside the amman temple in Valangaiman. They were literally worshipping.

And, I happened to meet one Smartha family while travelling in a train who said they took a child for giving ‘mudi kanikkai’ in Nagore.

I really do not know how these are happening.

Please take these seriously as they are totally against our Sanadana Dharma.

Yours sincerely
Choodamani

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namah! Sri Sriranga Narayana Jeeyar Swamigale Saranam

Sri Velukkudi Swamigal Thiruvadigale Saranam!

Adiyen’s first and immediate thoughts. Upanishad says (just heard this again from Swami’s Australia Ubaya Vendantham Upanyasam) nothing can exist (including achit) if Paramatma (Sriman Narayana) doesn’t permeate into them. If that is correct all these so-called “other religion people” are also a property of our ParaBrahmam and what’s wrong in them entering the temples (this was demonstrated by our Jagadacharyar – Harikulathar Vaibhavam, more examples Bibi Nachiyaar, Thuluka Nachiyar, and many more). If anyone (including a person who practices “Sanathan Dharma”) violates a code of conduct in the place of worship than that can’t be allowed. Beyond that, as we all strongly believe “அவனின்றி ஒரு அணுவும் அசையாது”, He will take care of any ulterior motives of any individuals, who are trying to destroy this eternal religion.

Now addressing Choodamani Swami’s question on a Smartha family going to Nagore, adiyen could only say Avatara Purushas like our Velukkudi Swami and others are doing their excellent service in spreading the beauty of our religion and attracting/retaining a lot of people back to our path. What we can do on our part is to follow our purvacharyas instructions as much as possible that will impress/influence others and they can also come back and reach Sriman Narayana at the earliest.

Please pardon this adiyen for any wrong saying. Also apologize for Adiyen jumping the gun before waiting for Velukkudi Swami and other senior members giving a response.

Alwar, Emperumanaar, Acharyar Thiruvadigale Saranam!

Adiyen,
Badrinarayana Ramanuja Dasan

Bhagavad Gita 9.29:
samO’ham sarvabhUthEshu na mE dhvEshyO’sthi na priya: |
yE bhajanthi thu mAm bhakthyA mayi thE thEshu chApyaham ||

I am the same to all beings; to Me there is none hateful or dear; but those who worship
Me with devotion abide in Me and I in them.

Bhagavad Gita 9.30:
api cet su-durācāro bhajate mām ananya-bhāk
sādhur eva sa mantavyaḥ samyag vyavasito hi saḥ

If even the most sinful person worships Me with devotion to no other, he must be
regarded as righteous, for he has rightly resolved.

Bhagavad Gita 9.32:
māṁ hi pārtha vyapāśritya ye ’pi syuḥ pāpa-yonayaḥ
striyo vaiśyās tathā śūdrās te ’pi yānti parāṁ gatim

By taking refuge in Me even those of unfavourable birth, women, vaiśyas and also śūdras attain the supreme state.

At last, We should at least strive to follow this verse Bhagavad Gita 5.18:

vidyā-vinaya-sampanne brāhmaṇe gavi hastini
śuni caiva śva-pāke ca paṇḍitāḥ sama-darśinaḥ

The sages regard with equality one well-endowed with learning and humility, a Brahmana, a cow, an elephant, a dog, and a dog-eater.
