How is your kid right now? Not sure how old he is. Ask him not to give pressure on right (injured) foot while standing or walking. Use walker till it recovers fully.
I bought a foldable walker for my mother when her leg got hairline fractured. So please be careful in bathrooms, wet floor kitchens etc

Aneha koti namaskaram Swami! By lords and acharyas mercy, surgery is done and he is recovering. He is 7 years old, developed an infection that unfortunately got slightly into the bone making it critical. By lord Sri Krishna anugraham he should get well soon.
