In the northern part of India, Navaratri is celebrated twice a year – first one closer to Rama Navami and the second one similar to us.
On both the occasions, staunch sanatana dharmis there observe vratam during all 9 days.
However we don’t seem to have any such vrata anushtaanam during this period in south.
How does this stark variation occur?
