Namaskaram Swami

You are right we can’t win sleep it’s all there in the Moola Prakriti itself ( the 3 gunas) and so its natural for everyone to go to sleep when the body feels fatigueness, why not to go by exceptions, Arjuna  was also named as Gudakesa( one who has conquered sleep) and its also said in lighter terms often, that krishna chose Arjuna to recite the gita, as one needs to be Awake in order to listen efficiently. okay so coming back to your question, let’s go with the same exception eg. of Gudakesa, for him he was at the stage of Para-Bhakti then Sri Krishna bestowed his blessings and gave him those Divine eyes in order to see the Lord’s unimaginable Vishwaroopam , so one attains this stage when one is at ParaGyanam and in this case it was outrightly Bhagwan’s blessings to his favourite disciple and lastly it  is the third and final stage where one attains Thirunadu and engages himself in Paramabhakti  ( Serving the Lord without any hindrances) ,and you know this for sure, one can attain Thirunadu when there is no Karmas leftover. All Saranagatas are like Arjuna i.e out of the freewill and blessings of the Lord we too will cross all these stages and it is said that when we will reach the stage of ParaGyanam we too will be able to get Darsana Samanakaram Sakshatkaram , do refer it in BG(10.16-17-18) and immediately or sometime after will attain Thirunadu.
