If mantras does work how certain rishis give bane the mantras won’t work?

Swamy,
In certain cases we understand the Guru’s shApam to Karna which states the learned mantras won’t work.

Similarly Rishi’s shApam to Hanuman you will forget these things and it will.work only if someone reminds you

Whereas we say mantrAs will work whether you know the meaning and recite or recite without knowing the meaning as a flame burns finger whether we touch knowingly or unknowingly.

If that’s the case how come Rishis can create limitations on the effect of MantrAs?

Swamy,

Was not the shapam to Karna he will forget the mantra? The shapam to Hanuman was that he will forget his powers. There was no limitation on the effect of Manthras. Adiyen feels the Phalam aspect comes under Bhagavan’s jurisdiction. So no one can alter the effects of Manthras I hope.

Whatever , we understand that Maharishi Vishwamitra submitted all.his powers to SriRam and went to forest again.

My question is, the Phalan is controllable or not?
If it’s my power how can you control?

Phalan undu means onnu balicha dhana adhukku per Phalan. Balikkadha vishayathai Phalan endru eppadi solla mudiyum?
