Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami Guruve Namaha,

Dear Bhagavata,

Meantime, adiyen would like to share what adiyen has heard and understood from Swami’s upanyasams with Acharya Krupai.

When one Acts against  Shastric Laws,  Shastric Laws Always Wins”.

A ‘Deviation’ from law is not necessarily punishable, but when the deviation affects others and society in a Constructive way, then is ‘Appreciated’, but when it affects others and society in a Destructive way, it is termed as “Violation” and continuation of Violation results in Serious Punishments.

Kaikei was a rebel and deviated from Sthree dharman, for her own desire (destructive path) and helped Dhasaratha in order for selfish reasons to get boon from Dhasaratha, which she utilized later during SruRama Pattabhishekam.

Even rebel rousers like Kaikei know that acting against Shastric Laws (Do’s & Dont’s Rule Book) is just not worth it. Laws are in place for a reason. When it comes to “Practicing the Rules (Anushtanam)”, one may not realize it, but when they violate “Practicing the Rules”, then they are in Violation of the Shastric Law (Anishtam Seikai, means Acting against Perumal’s ThiruUllam). Now, that doesn’t mean that they will be taken away in handcuffs (will have immediate punishment), but these violation come with consequences, like Kaikei’s son Bharatha never accepted the thrown that Kaikei got it from Dhasaratha by playing wicked using the boon that she got from Dhasaratha, to send SriRama to exile. So thus was a big Fine that she had to pay for her deviation of Shastric Law. So her act against the Shastric Law  resulted in destruction of Dhasaratha’s mind (hurt) and his demise and more stress for her throughout her remaining life.

So these violations come with consequences, not only an increased chance of getting seriously hurt, but can result in Fines levied on their families (like Bharatha sufferred) that fail to enforce Shastric Laws within the family.

These are the reasons why “Progressive Discipline” is used by families for violators of these rules.

Same way, In present day practical world, there are no moral behaviour rules (Shastric Laws like ThaniManitha Ozhukkam, Panbhu etc….) that an elderly person establish in their family for other members to follow, instead they themselves behave like morons. But they themselves don’t know that they are under surveillance of Perumal’s Eagle eyes. So before they get too far in deviation, correcting themselves in Righteous Path is necessary.

Adiyen was correlating what we saw in puranas/ithihasaas to present day situations within families in Kali yuga.
