Sri GodhaGraja’yai Namaha,

Sri Dasarathi’yai Namaha,

Srimad VaraVara Munaye Namaha,

Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Guruvae Namaha,

Happy VednAta DEsikar ThiruNakshartram

*************************************************************

We celebrate Sri Lakshmi Hayagriva ThiruNakshatram (Happy AvataraDay) every year which just passed on 29Sep’2017.

One and Only ‘ParamAthma’ Sriman Narayanan descends from Nithya Viboothi ‘SriVaikuntam’ (Permanent Anandham place) and takes many POORNA Avataras to help and take HIS countless Sotthu ‘JeevAthmas’ (either devas or humans or animals or anything) stuck up in Samsaram (Leela Viboothi, Painful place).

What is Poorna Avataram:

Sriman Narayanan has Anantha Kodi Kalyana Gunas (Unlimited Divine Qualities). When HE descends and takes AVataras like Sri Rama , SriKrishna, Sri Varaha etc… HE never COMPROMISES on HIS divine qualities of which some Kalyan Gunas are ‘Parathvam, Sowlabyam, Sowsheelyam, Swamithvam etc….) but only changes HIS appearances during each avatar depending up on the situation.

Once such Poorna Avataram is Sri Hayagriva Avataram to save the ‘Vedas’ from an Asuras Madhu-Kaidapargal, who stole the Vedas from Brahma.

‘Haya’ means Horse (Kuthirai)

‘Griva’ means Neck (Kazhutthu)

HayaGriva means Kuthirai Kazutthu udaya Perumal (Horse Neck faced Perumal)

Sri Hayagriva Perumal is the Primary ‘Moola’ source of Vidhya or Gyanam (WEALTH of SPIRITUAL KNOWLEDGE). HE has given that knowledge to many Acharyas like Swami Ramanujar (Swami’s ThiruvAaradhanai Perumal is Sri HayaGriva) and these knowledge was transcedental from Swami Ramanujar through ALL Paramparai Acharyas to Swami Pillai LokaCharyar, Swami Vedanta Desikar , Swami Manavaala Maamunigal etc till Asmadh Acharya and recevied to us via Mahans like Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swami.

Demi-God Saraswathi is also a Shisya of Sri Hayagriva. So, some pray Saraswathi for Spiritual knowledge and Saraswathi gives that Spiritual knowledge to the devotee due to Her GURU-Bakthi towards Her Master Sri Hayagriva Perumal.

*************************************************************

By this time, adiyen think that we would have come across the answers for this topic “Memory/Gyanam increase for Spiritual knowledge progress“.

*************************************************************

ANYONE (male, female, children etc..) can improve BhagavAt Vishaya Gyanam (Spiritual Knowledge) by many ways, but all ways are REALTED to each other. SriHayaGriva Perumal also blessess for improving materialistic knowledge as well, if the materialistic knowledge can be used for Spiritual progress :

*************************************************************

Chanting the below Sri Hayagriva Slokam daily after paying respect/gratitude to Baktha’s own Guru-Paramparai.

GyanaNandhamayam dEvam nirmala SphaTikAkruthim |

AdhAram sarvaVidyanam HayagrivAm upAsmahE

The Hayagriva Stotram (33 slokams) was written by our PoorvAcharyar Swami Vedanta Desikar.

If we know to chant full 33 slokams, it is good, if not just play the stotram and listen (Shravanam), or atleast learn to chant the above two lines Thaniyan slokam of Sri Hayagriva Perumal. We will defenitely see the changes in our life.

Sri Velukudi Swami in “Sri Hayagriva Stotram” CD explains in detail the meanings of each line of the stotram.
