Gita – Paramatma suffers when Jivatma suffers ?

Bhagavat Gita sloka ::

17 –  6 : These foolish people, torture the material components of their bodies and Me also who dwell within the body — know them to be non-divine in their faith.

This sloka comes while mentioning about doing Tapas.

In such case, in all other instances also, whether He also suffers whenever jivatma suffers?. In that case, He will have sufferings always, due to innumerable jivatmas. If He is suffering, why should He make us to suffer by way of previous karma. He can simply eradicate the karmas atleast for Him not to suffer.

He also says He just watches one doing any activity without any attachment.

Is there any misunderstanding by me in this case?.

Swamin,

Please listen to EnPani 2352. Might give some clarity. Bhagavan waits for us to suffer and learn and ultimately come out of this bondage. Neverthless he helps us in so many ways

Thank you for your efforts.

The sufferings mentioned in Gita appears to be different from the one indicated in the enpani audio referred.

Such a beautiful topic EnPani 2352 “கடவுளுக்கும் கவலை உண்டா”. When Velukkudi swamy blesses us with such intricate topics with authority and ease, we are surely in a golden period.

Dear swamin,

Adiyen had mentioned this EnPani to convey that Bhagavan’s suffering will not affect him in a manner as to deter him from performing his role towards other Jeevatmas nor does the pain make him incapable. In other words, “He can simply eradicate the karmas atleast for Him not to suffer” will not be valid because even though it pains bhagavan, he is still detached since it is our karma that causes the suffering and bhagavan waits for us to learn that.
So “He also says He just watches one doing any activity without any attachment.” stands valid as Bhagavan experiencing pain is reflection of his Karunai as swamy puts and not due to Karma.

This video says that bhagavan also experiences pain on seeing our suffering. Swamy has dealt this in separate EnPani if you want to listen in detail.
EnPani 2034

Hope this clears all of your doubts

Thanks one again, swamy.

Good reminding. The factor is age, which has not reminded me this one, which I have listened long back.

With regard to sufferings to both sides, an yester year cinema song came to mind. Just wanted to share.

“உன் கண்ணில் நீர் வழிந்தால் என் நெஞ்சில் உதிரம் கொட்டுதடி”.

நடந்த கால்கள் நொந்தவோ says Azhwar
So Azhwar endorses SriRam’s pain.
We must understand , SriRam undergoing pain for us not for him.

He has no need to make avatar in first place.
