For ArchirAdi only condition,
Aham smarAmi Mad bhaktham nayAmi paramAngatim

Here interpretation is smArayAmi (make him remember) for Bhishma, Vaali
Swayam Krishna & Rama were in front of them. No need for them to remember specially during death bed

Adiyen suppose same for Maareechan. Same case for JatAyu maharaj. So perumAl himself in front of us in vibhavam during our death bed, we go archirAdhi no doubt

Adiyen see it this way, “It is difficult to remember anything else other than Perumal during our death but I would sure to remember my Acharyan Sri Rangaramanuja Mahadesika Swamy during my death”

Why would we think of temporary changing things while unchanging Perumal is ready to take us?

Who said Bhishma went through Archarardhi for Moksham. He went to Swargha only like others including draupadi and pandavas. Athmas going through Archarardhi Margham through AcharyA Sambhandham…….”Vishnu Loka Mani Mandapa Margham Dhayee, Ramanujo Vijayathe Yathiraja rajaha:”…..as said in Dhatee Panchakam by Poorvacharyas … don’t get flash back since no next birth due to AcharyA Krupa.

Bhishma PithaMaha who is one of the eight Asta Vasus returned to heavenly Abode after death. That does not mean he went through Dhuuma-Gathi. He has to continue his role of Ashta Vasu. After his life time as Ashta Vasu, he will subsequently attain to moksha

The verses he quoted before he died and the commentaries by Acharya Purushas, etc all validate his leaving through Archirardi Gathi

One such excerpt:

“This is precisely the reason why Bhiishma-pithamaha in Mahaa-Bhaaratha,
who had the boon to choose his own time of death, waited for so long on
the bed-of-arrows – ampa-Sayya, for leaving his body. He waited for
Uttaraayana, Bright fortnight and daytime on an EkadhaSi day for his
departure. The same ideas are conveyed in Chandhogya-Upanishat 5-10-1
in the Vidhya-of-Five-Fires and by means of faith and meditation by the
forest dwellers. Also those who reach the Brahman will not retun for a
rebirth is stated in Chandhogya-Upanishat 4-15-5”

The discussion here is not about future janma status when one reaches Moksha.

Restating, in a Present janma, who gets to reach Moksha goes through Archarardhi Margham DOESN’T get the recap, since they are Sharanagathas, and Bhishma is NOT a Sharanagatha in the particular dwapara yuga janma, so he got his recap of both paapa and punya that he did, and hence reached Swargha (heavenly abode, same as in upanishadh) through dhoomathi gadhi, since he is still holding the material position as ashta vasu from Earth to Heavenly abode. Later, when he becomes the Fully Surrendered devotee in some janma, then he won’t get recap in that janma, since BhagavAn erases his karma’s and he will reach Moksha at that time.

Acharya Purushas have validated that Bhishma went through Archiradi Gathi and not Dhuumadi Gathi. That’s why adiyen quoted one of the commentaries to Archirardi Gathi in BG from Acharya’s Vyakhyanam. Then why put it back at me.

Of course, Bhishma did not go through the Archirardi Margam expounded by Shri Ramanujar.
