EnPaNi 1468 Punya’s Phalan submit to God and Sin experience it. Who will do PuNyA?

EnPaNi 1468 and EnpaNi 1465 sounding contradictory !

One end we say experience the sin or repent for it. Don’t wish for the results of PuNya. Other end we say do PuNya.

If this is the case who will come forward to do PuNya?

This is like saying “kashtathai mattum anubhavi”

Nalladhu Pannu ana adha Perumal kitta vitudu. Pavathai pannirukka adhanal kashtathai mattum anubhavi

Idhu eppadi nyAyam Agum?

PuNyam Pannu Pannu na yAr mun varuvA?

Swamy says beautifully in ‘Kannin Aaramudhu’ while explaining “Karmanye Vadhikaraste Ma….” that our intention should not be to expect results related to lowly plane of life( like porul, veedu , panam, etc ). We should instead have an intention that because of doing a punya karyam we are going to get the great phalan of moksham by grace of bhagavan as he will be pleased by our acts of punya karyam. Here note that Krishna reminds us not to think that we are doing the punya karyam. Of course it us who has to do an act. But swamy explains that in every act we do many people are involved. Even if we do nama sankeerthanam alone five people are involved – jeevatma, paramatma, udal, pranavayu and indriyam. So we are part of it but not fully responsible for the act. Instead of claiming responsibility, Krishna says that assume ( Note I mentioned assume ) that we are not doing the act. So coming back to phalan part, swamy says even a person with “buddhi swadeenam” will expect results. So it is not that we should not expect results. We should think that because of doing this act we are going to get the highest phalan of moksham. When moksham is itself attainable why should we care about other phalans? So Krishna says not to wish for (lowly) results.

Again, suppose if we have surrendered to bhagavan moksham is for sure. Then if we do something how can we think that we are going to get moksham out of it. This is valid. But the essence is that we should expect results related to bhagavan. For example suppose if we dig a well for the benefit of community we live in, we should think that because of our act, many devotees ( bhagavath adiyargal ) will get benefitted out of it. Consequently as they are benefitted bhagavan will be very happy with me. So here our ultimate aim should be bhagavth preethi. Like this in every act we should align our expectations properly.

There are many rituals, yagams prescribed in Vedas. But if we say don’t expect results, then all these would be of waste. In such cases our attitude should be to expect results( for eg Dhasaratha perfomed putrakameshti yagam to be gifted with children ) but to be aware that it is Krishna who gives the results and we are not capable of blessings ourselves with the results.

Thus, it stands that give up expectations of benefits of lowly order and only expect benefits of higher order.
Here higher order benefits could not only be a porul, panam or veedu but also bhagavath preethi, anugraham, etc. We can expect an own house, but the purpose should be for doing nithya karma, pooja, yagam and of course shelter ( to protect us to do kainkaryam ). Because of such kainkaryam we will get happiness. That happiness( arising due to bhagavan ) is the phalam for a punya

Yes, that’s exactly what adiyen has also heard from Swami’s Upanyasams. Arumai Arumai Ram2000 BhagavAta.

 

 

* Why BhagavAn SriKrishna says, we have to experience the sins is beacuse to bring us an awareness (Check point) that if you do intentionally a bad thing, then I will give Phalam for that paapa karma for oneself to relinguish. So wise people will avoid it due to the fear of the results and foolish people continue to do paapam and get the results if it in saw Hanna or some ianma to relinguish. Moreover intentional Paapa karma is a road block for Moksham. So it is for our benefit BhagavAn says, don’t do paapam. Thus is called “Prathikoolyasya Varjanam” (Don’t do anything that BhagavAn SriKrishna Dislikes).

 

* Why BhagavAn SriKrishna says, we MUST do Punya Karma, but surrender the Phalam to HIS lotus feet is again for our benefit, since we will keep enjoying the Punya Karma results like yaagam to attain low level world “Svarga lokam”, all these are inside Samsaram (suffering place), and inturn while enjoying these Punya karma RESULTS we will forget the PURPOSE OF LIFE, which is nothing but going to “Moksham SriVaikuntam” for Permanent Kainkaryam to BhagavAn for BhagavAt Preethyartham. This type of action is called “Anukoolyasya Sankalpam” (Do what BhagavAn Likes).

 

Swami Vedantha Desikan says,

* Punya Karma is “தங்க விலங்கு (Golden Handcuff)

* Paapa Karma is “இரும்பு விலங்கு (Iron Handcuff)“,

So enjoying Punya karma results without surrending to BhagavAn’s lotus feet is like a “Golden Handcuff”, we will keep taking rebirth and same suffering over and over again in this bhooloka or suffering in swarga loka etc…,

If we don’t stop doing Paapa karma is like “Iron Handcuff”, Punishment in naragam and rebirth.

 

 

MOREOVER we are fools that we ourselves don’t know what is good for us. We will ask for one low level thing and miss the bigger benefit. So Acharyas always recommend, even if we want to ask something to BhagavAn, ask as “அடியேனுக்கு எது ஹிதமோ, அதை தேவரீர் அடியேனுக்கு அருலணும்” (Please give what is best for me but I in Devareer’s ThiruUlkam)

 

So we should do all Punya Karmas whatever is possible based ono our Yatha Shakthi  for BhagavAn SriKrishna’s Happiness by surrendering the results on HIS Lotus feet and REPENT for any Past Paapams and further stop doing any Paapa Karmas.

Overall,

Two things are “ஈஸ்வர விரோதி (Against BhagavAn’s Wish):

* Not doing Punya Karmas,

* Doing Paapa Karmas.

 

Two things are “மோக்ஷ விரோதி (Against ones path to Moksham):

* Not Surrendering the Results of Punya Karma to BhagavAn SriKrishna’s Lotus Feet,

* Surrendering the Results of Paapa Karma to BhgavAn SriKrishna’s Lotus Feet,

 

So we should do all Punya Karmas whatever is possible based on our Yatha Shakthi (ones own ability) for BhagavAn SriKrishna’s Happiness by surrendering the Punya Karma RESULTS on HIS Lotus feet and REPENT for any Past Paapams and further stop doing any Paapa Karmas, so we are Protected in Samsaram as well as for Moksham in SAME BIRTH with Acharya Ramanujar Krupai.
