Discipline or skills?

Srimate ramanujaya nama:
Just a thought provoking discussion that comes among all youngsters of today:

Is being discipled is important or being skilled is important?
We as barathiyas give lot of importance to discipline, hierarchy, procedure and protocol. Which is admirable in one point but the skill to do the task and bring results only seen as success (rather than above mentioned things)

Someone who things outside box, go outside circulaum or think and act beyond what’s
being instructed, turns out to be big business men/ entrepreneur or appears more successful than simple, regulated youngster who end up in normal goals.

Even college/offices are moving more towards breaking few hierarchy/protocols making things open. Ie focus in made on thinking-approch and results than plain protocols and systems. This may appear as Western culture but point adiyen wants to make is;

Thinking out of box/ breaking frameworks appears to fetch better results than being more regulated & rule governed person.
So, many youngsters questions/ feel shy away to be so religious and follow same rituals or rules over and over again.
How to reinforce this point and make clarity in mind of ourselves the difference between skills and procedures.

adiyen Ramanuja dasan
Namaskaram Swamy

adiyen is completely unaware of what Devareer mean by the words

Admirable
Success
More successful
Simple
Normal goals
Plain
Better results
Regulated
Rule governed
Shy
Religious
Clarity

Shamikkanum Swamy answer depends upon how Devarareer take these words

from adiyen point of view

Admirable
Nothing cannot be admired except the Free will of
Peruman – which is infinite and eternal – so if something admires something without admiring everything it is not admiration but conditioned thought – no point in giving importance to a conditioned thought

Success, more successful

There is nothing called as success and failure if one goes deeper into the subject

Both are same – but the mind sees it differently
Definitely both will happen in turns – if one accepts both in the same way one is not bothered whether he or she is successful or unsuccessful

Bhagwan Sri Krishna accepts everything in the same way. Bhagwan Sri Krishna is like an empty vessel what ever one pours in it comes out – nothing stays in

Simple, plain, normal

Nothing in this creation is complicated everything is simple
One’s mind creates different spectrums for things
Quantum physics appears simple for a Physics student in later stages of learning but complicated in the early stages of learning
All the so called hifi complicated things or people will become simple eventually
Ignorant is complicated
Sage is simple

Better results
Results can never be better nor worser
Result is always going to be the same result whatever one does
Accepting neutrally is what one can do

In Kurukshetra war Bhagwan Sri Krishna
Tells to Swamy Arjuna that everybody is already dead
What ever skills or procedure out of curriculum is done by either the Pandavas or the Kauravas the result is the same and the result is predetermined.
What is the point in worrying about result
Doing without ego is important

Regulated, Rule governed, Religious

Being religious is loss of freedom, frustration, bondage, stressful for one whoes Free will is not surrendered to Peruman
Being religious is liberation for one whoes Free will is surrender to Peruman

Shy
Bhagwan Sri Krishna speaks out Bhagavat Gita
Bhagwan Sri Krishna at the same time dances sings with Gopikas
Devareer’s professors or teachers or office heads can give lecture or treach or train ,can they come out and dance in the streets

Only Bhagwan Sri Krishna can do that because
There is everything in Bhagwan Sri Krishna
Swamy accepts everything neutrally –

So no shyness

Clarity

Only one thing needs clarity

Doership
Everything is clear except the THOUGHT I AM THE DOER
IT IS CONFUSING TO TELL THAT I AM DOING
IT IS OBVIOUS TO TELL adiyen

SO IF DEVAREER IS A DISCIPLINED RELIGIOUS RULE GOVERNED REGULATED SIMPLE YOUNSTER WHO IS FOLLOWING HEIRARCHY PROCEDURES AND PROTOCOLS WITH THE SHY OF PURSUING NORMAL GOALS

BE AS YOU ARE BECAUSE IT IS BHAGWAN SRI KRISHNA’S CHOICE
COMPLETELY SURRENDER TO BHAGWAN SRI KRISHNA

SWAMY KNOWS WHAT TO DO

shamikkanum Swamy if adiyen replied irrelevantly to Devareer’ question also if adiyen understanding is wrong
Please correct adiyen

Srimate Raamaanujaaya Namaha!

Namaskaaram Seshadri Swami,

Sri Velukkudi Swami has beautifully answered devareer’s question in today’s EnPaNi #2292. This was a very valid question, which was in adiyen’s mind too. Thanks for asking this question, swami.

Srimate Raamanujaye Namaha!

Very interesting question and answer. In the last part of the audio swamy summarized nicely  ” Following in a disciplined way  in the path shown by most intelligent acharyas is the intelligent and smart way to do for us”

so being disciplined and subservient to Gurus and acharyas is the most intelligent action one can do.

Our Swami seems to have liked this question very much. On Nov 19 2021 lecture on “Self Management principles taught by Geetha”, Swami referred to this question
