Dhritarashtra quitting palace in Mahabharata

Srimate Raamanujaye Namaha!

Namaskaaram Swami.

Been hearing Mahabharatam audios by your grace. In the recent audios in 220 and 221 the events before Dhristasthra’s departure from the palace is described. It appears to be a planned and known event.

However, in Bhagawaatam 1st canto 13th chapter, it is described that Dhritarashtra went away without informing anybody and Yudhistar Maharaja and Sanjaya were in shock.

https://vedabase.io/en/library/sb/1/13/

So how do we reconcile this swamy, is it because these epics happened cyclically in every Dwapara yuga. and so each version refers to different times?

If due to my limited knowledge if I misunderstood these two wrongly, kindly forgive and correct appropriately.

Dhanyosmi

Adiyen

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

Namaskaram Enpanifan Bhakta,

Adiyen believe, regarding Dhrisdharashtra sitting palace incident is available in Swami’s Mahabharatam Enpani 219 end & 220 begining, and not 220 & 221.

@ 13.19 minutes on Enpani 219, Swami says
“திருதராஷ்டிரன், காந்தாரி, குந்தி தேவி நாட்டில் இருந்தது 15 வருஷம், அதற்கு மேல் அங்கு இருக்க முடியலையே என்று காட்டுக்கு புறப்பட்டு பொகிவிட்டார்”.

The meaning of “அதற்கு மேல் அங்கு இருக்க முடியலையே” is a gestural conclusion by Velukkudi Swami which implies that they couldn’t withstand living in that palace anymore after the war was over, so they left anonymously without informing anyone, since dhrisdharashtra as a King was responsible for the whole Draupadi disrobing incident, when he as a King could have stopped it, which he didnot and inturn it lead to the war and demise of the entire Kauravas and their army as well as the demise of the entire pandavas family (their 5 sons death plus abhimanyu death) and the entire pandavas supporters/ army also dead, except the remaining pandavas as the only survivors.

After he realised his mistake, these incidents are suffocating for Dhrisdharashtra, if he continues to stay in same palace and face pandavas everyday and the people. So he left to Vanavasa due to lack of peace of mind after the whole episode. So Adiyen believe Velukkudi Swami is not detailing out their departure incidents as it is not critical, and hence Swami concludes in simple way by saying as “அதற்கு மேல் அங்கு இருக்க முடியலையே என்று காட்டுக்கு புறப்பட்டு பொகிவிட்டார்”, which is the essence of the detailed verse by verse incident as pointed out in the mentioned vedadatabase above link.

So Adiyen believe it is already reconciled, and not different.

What is devareer’s thought process on these?

Adiyen (ElayaAlwar) Srinivasa (DhoddayAcharyar) Dasan.
