Detachment Through Pain

Hare Krishna! Aneha Koti Namaskaram!

Dear Swamis/Matajis – Bhagavan Krishna and Acharyas teach that the detachment to this world can be practiced through attachment to the lord. While this is learning of theory, in reality, apparently the practice is strengthened only through ‘pain’. When we go through pain, then the mind questions lord’s design as to why we need to go through pain to move to higher taste aka attachment to the lord ? Can there be a design where Jiva’s move for higher experience (serving the lord) without having to go through the pain (body/mind) in the current state ?

To ask the question in simple terms, “Adi vangaama thirunthuvathu epadi ?” [How can one act righteous before getting beaten ?]

Adiyen do exactly reverse
Adiyen don’t worship him while sad. Adiyen don’t like to see Perumal’s face when sad.

Adiyen wish to see Perumal’s face during happy times ONLY.

When sad if I see him I get angry on him. Only for his benefit I don’t see. He will loose his bhAgavathan. Velukkudi Swamy may disagree but adiyen have rights.

Adiyen hold him in my heart. If azhwars can get angry on him adiyen too can get.

Adhu enna Avan namakku kashtam kuduthu avana naamba sevikkardhu?

Avanukku venumna let him make me happy and call me.

Adiyen thank him only during happy times.

During kastham we get momentary vairAgyam. I don’t like it. It’s temporary.

VairAgyam is not when we cannot eat sweet during diabetes. VairAgyam is when we avoid sweets during ekAdeshi vratham.

So, to conclude We cannot become Saint due to pain it’s not actual sacrifice. It has to come from beyond happy times & pain times.

Not sure if this answered devar’s question but it’s adiyen’s heartfelt opnion

Hare Krishna! Aneha Koti Namaskaram!

As Swami says, we need to remember Bhagavan in both favorable and unfavorable situations which is the ultimate state where we have ‘unconditional’ love for the lord.

But in Adiyen’s opinion, favorable situations are very easy test that we can clear while unfavorable situations are ‘stringent’ tests. If Adiyen can relate this to IT industry favourable situation is like system testing or UAT where as unfavourable situation is like ‘Production’.

Hare Krishna! Dhanyosmi Mataji.

All respects to the lotus feet of Sri Velukkudi Swami.

Adiyen considers the answers are from lord Narayana himself in the form of our Swami and Adiyen is now afraid of listening to it.

Hare Krishna!

Aneha koti namaskaram to the lotus feet of our Sri Velukkudi Swami. Just listened to Swami’s answer with tears in eyes.

Adiyen understands that knowledge comes with responsibility that the knowledge has to be put into ‘use’ (/application of it in life). Swami says, a worm keeps half of it’s legs on 1 leaf, the rest half on the other leaf as it makes a move. Our swami’s upanyasam & guidance is what gives courage to many worms like Adiyen to move away from ‘Samsara’ leaf.
