Swamy,
How to chose a guru for a Non brahmin? As a non brahmin I don’t have a guru paramparai. I don’t have lineage which thought me about Sriman Narayanan. Help me in finding a guru to submit myself and to attain Moksham. I am scared to accept anyone as my guru due to so many fake people use the word acharya and lure money? How to chose a right guru?

Namo Namaha…

@Vinod_S – Jagadguru Sri Krishna is the Guru of all Gurus. All, including those who doesn’t have guru parampara must consider Sri Krishna as their guru and Gita as his preaching. My humble suggestion is that you please follow whatever your kula dharma is and also follow the path of your father and fore fathers. It is more important to continue your kula dharma as that is your foremost kartavya.

What is the opinion on self-styled gurus/godmen, swami? These people seem to have many followers who also worship them as God.

Namaskaram swami!

Even I am feeling very much worried due to the increase of a lot of bogus gurus, these days. These are all the difficulties we face in Kali Yuga. First of all, a person becoming spiritually inclined itself is quite rare. But to add on this demerit, the number of fake gurus is sadly increasing day by day, which is making the situation difficult for even the sincere people. Best is to chant the names of Sriman Narayana, glorify Him, and be blissful for now.

Also, fortunately we have Velukkudi Sri U.Ve.Krishnan Swami, who is presenting the philosophy correctly from Vedas and Divyaprabandhams.

But, my question is how do we get Pancha Samskaram from a proper Acharya. I mean, how do we know if the Acharya is truthful or not?

(Please forgive my sensitive question, if it has hurted anyone)

Adiyen. Thank you Swamy for your concerning query. While let’s wait for Swamy to guide this thread, adiyen shall post the Kinchit Adiyen learnt. Identifying an acharyar in Sri Vaishnava Sampradaya is not hard because Swamy Ramanujar has constituted 74 simhasanadhipatis who only can initiate a shisya into Sri Vaishnavism through the holy initiation ceremony process called Panchasamskaram or Samasrayanam. Today, only less than 35 out of 74 simhasanithipatis exist (ezhuntharulgiraargal). Please call Kinchit Karam trust directly and ask for help. I’m 100% sure that Devareer will receive proper help immediately. 🙏🏻
It’s true that there are fake gurus etc but we must also involve and develop a “Ruchi” to attain acharyar thiruvadi. Kindly hear Swamy’s short discourses on YouTube under the topic “Panchasamskaram” + please call the KKT. 🙏🏻
Adiyen Ramanuja Dasan.

Thank you very much for considering my post and replying, swami. Your points are very good, and I will definitely keep this in my mind and take appropriate action in the future, hopefully by Bhagavan’s grace.
