🌼Flowers to be avoided for offering to lord 🌼

Srimath Varavara munaye nama:

Swamy,
Loard krishna accepts anything if we offer it with love. But there are certain restrictions as said by acharyas.
Usually we don’t offer கண்டங்கத்திரி flower to lord.

What are the flowers to be avoided ??
🌺 Some say hibiscus to be avoided as it has no fragrance ?? Is it so ?? But we make garlands out of ixora(இட்லி பூ) which also don’t have any fragrance.

🌷Some say oleandar (அரளி பூ) to be avoided, as it has rajo guna. Do flowers also have rajo guna, tamo guna ???

Can we offer hibiscus , oleander to lord ??
What are the flowers to be avoided ?

அடியேன் வரவரமுனி ப்ருத்ய தாஸன் 🙏

The names of hibiscus and oleander are missing. It means it should not be offered .
Thanks.

Adiyen will not conclude that way. But have heard that oleander is not favorable for Bhagavan as it’s a poisonous flower and Perumal likes any honey-dripping / fragrant flowers.

Srimathe Rangaramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha

Any flower 🌺 offered heartfelt bhakthi should do good.

This is exception statement:
Vithurar offered banana 🍌 skin, Krishna happily accepted. Vithurar wanted to offer Banana only initially.

Velukkudi Swamy used to say ” கலங்கியது தான் பக்தி, உடையவர் கூட அரங்கனை பார்த்து கலங்கினார். இவரா ஶ்ரீ பாஷ்யம் எழுதியவர் என்று தோன்றும்”

The moment we step up to level 2 🙏bhakthi Krishna will modify the flower & 🌹 accept it.

Pathram pushpam phalam thoyam
Yo me bhakthyA prayacchathi

As long as bhakthi it’s ok says Krishna & demonstrated in Vithura’s case.

Sabari kooda solluvaa but
Perumal ucchishtam saapida villai. Endru
Thirukkudanthai Andavan NirvAhan

Point here is acceptance
Guhan Swamy offered non-veg initially as that’s his daily meal, SriRam did not eat. SriRam yet accepted the Bhakthi of Guha Peruman says Andavan. Kandu AruLa Panni VittAr.

Thirukkudanthai Andavan used to share a story comically:
A husband had bananas. Out of which two were deformed/decayed. Wife asked what to do with these two bananas? Husband responded offer it to Sriman Narayana.

Sriman Narayanan thought “At least he had the tendency to offer me something”

Adiyen’s observation, that’s the starting point of Bhakthi. The next level is to offer the best of best. Next level is to offer him the manasu.

Yeah ! Vikram swamy, I’ve clearly said in my statement that ” god accepts any flower given with devotion but there are certain restrictions imposed by our acharyas ”

Adiyen Varavara muni Bruthya dasan 🙏

on January 1, 2023

AmAm, Adiyen,
Accepted
When it comes to “kalangia bhakthi” any such restrictions will not be accounted by Krishna.

32 upachArams may be converted to 64 apachArams but all will be invalidated by same God due to “premam”

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

Perumal avoids certain flowers with HIS Karunai purely because it’s harmful for HIS devotees.

Like,
கண்டங்கத்திரி flower:
though flower is good, it has thorns, so while plucking the flowers, there is possibility that the devotee can hurt himself. This question was already asked by Parasara Bhattar Swami’s Shishya and was answered

Oleander flower:
just touching the plant and tree sap with bare hands or inhaling the smoke of burning oleander can induce toxic effects. So Perumal avoids.

Adiyen (ElayaAlwar) Srinivasa (DhoddayacharyAr) Dasan.
