I am little unclear here.

Perumaal wears the symbol of His own Thiruvadi as a expression of love for His devotees?

I am not able to fully understand it.. is this referring to the fact that Perumaal is eager to get the nammam markings done by His devotee, because the Thiru paadam is still Perumaal’s right.. so the devotee is involved only in applying the marking to Archa Vigraha..

Somehow  I am not fully clear..kindly explain.

Adiyen think Perumal applies to show us how to apply.

Velukkudi Swamy has said about “Oordhva pundram” of Srivaishnavites vs “Thraiyadh pundram” of Shaivites.

Oordhva pundram takes us to the top vertically. Thraiyadh pundram will lead us to keep circling around samsara.

So if we workship Shiva we keep circling around samsara.

If we worship Vishnu we are taken upwards to Srivaikuntam away from Samsaram.

Oordhva means top. Adharam means bottom.
