Namaskaram Swami,

adiyen have been using chatgpt from openai. It’s so interesting when adiyen entered this question and got the following answer. These kinds of technologies are certainly not a replacement for our purvacharyas and living acharyas like our Swami. But aren’t we getting into the next level in technology?

Question asked to the tool:

why did people who came with andaal to srirangam didn’t get liberation when she got?

Generated Answer by the tool:

Andal is a female saint and poet of the Sri Vaishnavism tradition of Hinduism, who is believed to have lived in the 8th century AD. She is known for her devotional poetry in Tamil language, which expresses her love and devotion to Lord Vishnu. According to legend, Andal had a vision of Lord Vishnu in her dream and was determined to marry him. She went to the Sri Rangam temple in present-day Tamil Nadu, where she merged with the Lord and attained liberation (moksha).

The people who accompanied Andal to Sri Rangam did not attain liberation when she did because they did not have the same level of devotion and devotion as Andal. They may have been visiting the temple for other reasons such as to offer prayers or to perform other rituals.

It is believed that in order to attain liberation, one must have a strong and unwavering devotion to Lord Vishnu and have a deep understanding of the principles of Bhakti. Andal had this devotion and understanding, and her poetry expresses her longing for union with the Lord. Her devotion was so strong that it led her to merge with the Lord and attain liberation.

In summary, the people who accompanied Andal to Sri Rangam did not attain liberation when she did because they did not have the same level of devotion and understanding as Andal. Attaining liberation requires a strong and unwavering devotion to the Lord, which is unique to every individual, and it’s not something that can be attained by being in the same place or accompanying someone else.

Srimate Raamnujaya Namaha,

Very interesting swamy.

Initially it was oral reception, then it became books,  then online books , then online videos, then it became google search, and now AI based Chatgpt.

Yes, we are getting into next level in technology..but not sure where it will take us :(-

Google AI is grandfather of ChatGPT

ChatGPT 4 will have 175 billion parameters.

Google PALM has Pathways Language Model (PaLM): Scaling to 540 billion parameters

The hype of ChatGPT is that it is abstracted to end users.

Swamy,

Let’s forget ChatGPT, it creates answers based on stored information.

When I typed
God

It starts with”concept of God”
“Polytheistic religion have multiple God & Goddess for particular domain”

Don’t want to waste Dharma Sandeha space with full answer.

The measure of devotion is so unrealistic & we are easily undermining the devotees.

I feel it is a hardcore insult to devotees when we hastily judge they are not upto to Aandal thAyAr’s level.

Adiyen refuting with this statement
What about NaamAzhwAr Moksham?

Are we going to say Swamy NammAzhWAr was up NOT to the mark until he was on Earth?

10 songs Moksham great bhakthi
30 songs a little lesser
1000+ songs much lesser bhakthi?

Perumalukku pidikkum so avar vechundrundhAr

“Vaitha NAl Varai”

Nee Prahladhan mAdhiri bhakthi seiyala
AndAl mAdhiri bhakthi seiyala

These are unacceptable statements according to adiyen

Adiyen”s intention was not to promote AI but like how modern Technologies have helped spread our dharma, it’s heartening see to AI is also developing to aid us in spreading Sanathana Dharma

on January 18, 2023

Agreed swamy ! your views on AI is well needed. Adiyen Ramanuja Dasan.

on January 18, 2023

Adiyen beg to differ. AI is based on stored data. While it thinks the % of correctness > 90% it doesn’t mean it aids or provides an acceptable answer.

Instead of aiding , such technologies make student’s brain blunt & more dependant. Students nowadays don’t know basic tables & looking for calculators.

When I typed “Srimathe Rangaramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha” it said “Great AchArya” etc. Good but what if majority population thinks otherwise & makes negative views trend more? AI will evaluate & give different answer.

adiyen believes in moderated AI, which means for eg: let’s assume that all of us take notes from Swami’s upanyasam or let’s say we are able to transcribe all the audio from our Swami’s upanyasams and feed that into AI. Then imagine the output of that knowledge base. That’s what adiyen was imagining when I came across Chat GPT.

That is very very dangerous swamy!

Originally scriptural knowledge was passed on only through aural reception. This mandated that one has to approach a guru and learn from him. When we receive in person from the Guru, we will imbibe the parampara knowledge without one’s own interpretation.

With the advent of written copies, printed copies and online resources, scriptural knowledge is free for interpretation by anybody and everybody. An example in case: recently one political party circulated their own interpretation of Manu smrthi.

Progression in technology will only accelerate the progression of kali. There is no about about this.

We can keep saying “but I use it for good use only”. But it will all break down quickly. I know one (retired) person who was eager to get a smart phone about 6-7 years ago because it will be a quick and easy access to  Prabandam and other recitation-verses. This could have easily been done with printed books; but unfortunately the smart phone came in. Over time, the smart phone use expanded to other things, and eventually most of the time got wasted with junk use only…. Utterly junk use that takes our mind away from absorption in Perumal related things!

Such technological progression will make us more and more dull and accelerate the progression of kali.

Make a list of technological progression in over the past 20 years, 50 years, 100 years, 200 years. Then make a list of predictions of how kaliyuga will degrade. Correlation of how things have degraded over the past few decades will make it evident how the technological progression are indeed agents of kali.

So, should we stop using all technological devices? No, we will not be able to even if we want to. But we can do two things:

  1. Be very very careful in our own usage; use it only for progressing spiritually, and be very very very careful not to fall victim to the negative uses.
  2. Be aware that these are agents of kali, and not glorify them ever. When we (who are aspiring to progress spiritually) start glorifying, the common people will also think ‘technology is good’ and spiral down in their life

Adiyen agree with Kambandasan Swamy’s views & differ from Badrinaraya Ramanuja Dasan Swamy’s views in this matter.

Remember “En Iniya IyandirA” program during old doordarshan days AI will create slaves like that.

For spiritualism let’s always refer directly from our Acharya. Whatever the answer may be let’s accept it & move on.

Addiction to technology is distancing from Krishna.

I imagine going to forest without any phone & penance on Sriman Narayana let snake 🐍tiger 🐅 bite me I wish to take the end happily.

If Valmikam can surround VAlmiki why not us?

Technology should never overpower us in any form. This is my motto.

Namaskaram to bhagavatas. 🙏
Instead of technology and unwanted discussion, lets move into the discussion.

Srimathe Rangaramanuja Mahadesikaya Namaha
Srimathe Sri Varaha Mahadesikaya Namaha
Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy Thiruvadigaley Sharanam
Sri:

Earthians are not animishas. Meaning we have to blink eyelid in this Martya LOkam.

To do bhakthi, forgetting sleep during Vaikunta EkAdeshi in SriRangam is more difficult than SadhA Pashyanthi Sooraya: in Sri Vaikuntham. – Sri Krishna Premi

Is it possible not to sleep?

AndAl condemns being Lazy.
RajO & TamO GuNa are obstacles to Sathvam.

This doesn’t necessarily mean they don’t want Krishna.

Also to compare GOdhA the ayOnijA with normal bhakthAs acceptable?

We can do best with what we can “yathA Shakthi:”

Artha bhakthA will want to leave world & attain Sriman Narayana immediately

Only those can be really called as longing souls

Others are Vaitha NAl varai

When comparing Sri Velukkudi Krishnan Swamy ‘s upanyasam

In Kaliyugam 1 day prayer = 1000 year Tapas of Krutha Yuga

Simply it means those days situation was hethu (favourable) to do bhakthi. Today distractions are more.

Studying under noisy environment vs Studying under quiet environment which is more powerful?

So technically even if 1 minute a devotee thinks of Sriman Narayana’s lotus feets as of today it should be enough for Perumal

SmaraNa Bhakthi

“VishNO: SmaraNam”

Even Yashoda Amma was not an exception
She was deliberately engulfed by mAyA of Sti Krishna

The moment she saw entire multiverse in Kannan’s mouth as a cascading effect, she would have not taught Krishna as her baby

Govardhana Giri Dharanam was an act of Krishna Maya

The Vishwaroopa dharisanam to Arjuna was an act of Krishna mAyA

Therefore as long as we are bound by mAyA ,
the bhakthi of supposedly smaller act is actually weighed heavily by Sriman Narayana

My mother said:
The rat 🐀 that unknowingly bit the lamp (viLakku) of lord Shiva’s temple and made it to glow brighter became a King in next birth

So the power of Conscious Bhakthi?

Swamy,

Srutha PrakAsikar elaborated Sri Bhashyam

My understanding:
kAraNa KAraNam = Root Cause Perumal
KAraNam = Cause
VisEsha kAraNam = AthmA (jeeva SwAthanthriyam)

Edhukku we are saying:
KAmOkArsheeth ManyurakArsheeth

KAmam kAraNam kOpam kAraNam ?

Why are we pushing our fault to kAmam & kOpam as if it is a visEsha entity?

Swamy answered Chakra Pongal prasadam question in same video

Sani will not impact until the act becomes wrong

Therefore he cannot affect PerumAl Prasadam
