Posting a question by a learned BhAgavatha as it is on Atthi Varadar Moolavar:

Is there any reference to show that the then Acharyars ( both Munitrayam – Srrrangam PrriyAsramam) or the Azhagiyasingars from Srisannidi had MangalsAsanam of Athivaradar at PushkariNi ?
For instance we do not know about 1939, for there was no Nrisimhapriya.
In 1978 Srimad Azagiyasingar had started rAjagopuaram construction at Southsideand hence there may not have been possibility of His visit to Hastigiri pushkariNi.
1979 ( I have no idea about Sri Ranganada padula.
As regards Sri Pavundarigapuram Asramam ( in 1979) the Andsvan swamigaL was not travelling outside Srirangam.
My question is how did our forefathers treat the “Dharsan for a Mandalam once in 40 years ? Were they according so much importance in having dharsan of two Moola murthies ( same Divyadesa perumAL)at a single place?
Would any member throw light as to whether there shall be any SErthi ( Ustavar with the erstwhile Moola bEarar)? Would there be any mangalAsAsanam of The PerumAL at Pushkarini by AzhvArs and or Acharyars ( in archai) ?

Meantime Swami Blesses us in EnpAni, adiyen would like to share from SriVaishnava Upanyasams.

Brahma did Yaagam in Kanchipuram.

Kanchipuram was originally called as Sathya Vradha Shetram.

In Aadhi kaalam (age olden days or previous Yugas), Brahma did Yaagam to Perumal (Sriman NarayanA) in the Sathya Vradha Shetram, and then on later the city was called as Kanchipuram.

Kanchipuram meaning:

“Ka க ” means Brahma

“Anchitam அஞ்சிதம் ” means Vananga Patta (வணங்க பட்ட)

“Puram புறம் ” means a place ” ஊர் / oor”

So, “Brahmavaal vanaga patta oor (பிரம்மாவால் வாங்க பட்ட ஊர்)” is abbreviated as “KAnchiPuram / காஞ்சிபுரம் “

Brahma did Yaagam on Perumal Archai form made from one the auspicious Tree “Atthi maram (அத்தி மரம்)” as prescribed in Shastras. Perumal from Atthi Maram was 8~8.5 feet approx, no wonder since SriRangam lying posture Periya Perumal is actually Brahma’s ThiruAradhania Perumal in Sathya Lokam which was later given to Ishvaku Kulam Kings by Brahama. So Brahma’s ThiruAradhanai Peurmal is always bigger size, which is Moola Murthy in Temples for our Dharshan.

During yaagam, Perumal granted all the Varams that Brahma has asked. So Varam kuduttha Perumal, hence name as Varada Perumal and since Perumal granted all the Varams that Brahams asked, Perumal was called as King of Varams. So Perumal was called “VaradaRaja Perumal“, but that Perumal didnot get the name yet as “Atthi Varadhar (அத்தி வரதர்)“. This name was given to Vararaja Perumal only after Brahama’s Yaagam completion due to an incident.

During the Yaagam, the Fire spark from Yaagam fell on the VaradaRaja Perumal who was made of Atthi Tree wood, so Perumal got fire blaze. Then Perumal said, this is not ordinary fire, it is swayam Agni devata in the fire, since it is Brahma’s own yaagam. So perumal said, HE couldn’t bear the Ushnam (heat) of the fire burn on HIS Atthi (wood) body.

So Perumal said, as soon as the Yaagam is over, put me inside a Silver Koil Alwar (silver box) and take me down to the Water in the Ananthasaras Pushkarani Mandapam, so as to cool off MY body that was burnt by Agni devata’s fire blaze. I will remain there for 40 years. [The Pushkarani was named as Ananthsaras well before the Brahma Yaagam, since Ananthan ‘AadhiSheshan’ was doing Tavam on Varaha Perumal. Hence, the name Ananthasaras].

Then after 40 years, take me out for 48 days and Prathistai ME on the Vasantha Mandapam. The first 24 days, I will be in பள்ளிகொண்ட கோலம் (LYING Posture), then the remaining 24 days, I will be in நின்ற கோலம் (STANDING Posture).”

Perumal did this Leelai because to give SEVAI to other Bhaktas of future different Yugas / generations, so I have to bless them and give Moksham. That’s why Perumal did this Leelai of getting burnt etc….since we know from Swami’s upanyasams that Perumal is the one who have the Heat Gunam to the Jeevathma in Agni Devata Body, then how come Perumal will get burnt by Agni. It’s all HIS Leelai for Bhakthas.

Now the question arises, if the Moola Moorthy Perumal goes inside the Ananthasaras Mandapam inside water, then the Sannidhi (Sanctum) will be empty with no Perumal for 40 years. Hence, to compensate this issue, Brahma went to Pazhayaseevaram city and brought the “DevadhiRaja Perumal” as Moola Murthy for the Temple, which is what we normally Pray whenever we go to Kanchipuram.

So the Moola Murthy inside the Temple Sanctum is “DevadhiRaja Perumal” which we call as VaradhaRaja Perumal, and the Perumal made of Atthi Maram (wood) who comes out from water once in 40 years who gives Sevai in Vasantha Mandapam for 48 days is called as “Atthi Varadhar”.

So there are two Moola Murthis is Kanchipuram.

And Atthi Varadar “அத்தி வரதர் “Sevai is very old for Anaadhai Kaalam.

All Alwar Paasurams are for the Kanchipuram Perumal, so all Paasurams are meant for both Moola Moorthies, since both are same Perumal.

Till that time, let’s consider that Adhisheshan would have come here based Perumal’s order for Perumal’s different leelai ?, not sure which one.

Adiyen don’t have WhatsApp or other Social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter etc..). Honestly even aidyen did not create any account in first place when these social medias where launched initially, since aidyen was not sure of the purpose. But, it seems like, it is helpful for other BhagavAtas for Satvika Satsangams and Pravachanams, if utilized properly.

Sure BhagavAta. No need permission. BhagavAta can share the “அத்தி வரதர் “ story in Whatassp or other Social medias, since None of the above said is adiyen’s own material or property. Adiyen only SHARED All the Satvika Contents from the Sri Vaishana Upanyaskaras upanaysams. So it is their property. But, if we ask them, they say, it is not their property. They say it is PoorvAcharyas property. But, if we ask PoorvAcharyas, they say, it is not their property. It is Alwars & Satvika Rishis property. If we ask them, they say, it is Nithya Sooris property. If we ask them, then they say, it is not their property, it is Thayar-Perumal Property.

Adiyen is only A Tool (Karuvi) of Swami’s Pravachanams doing Kainkaryam with Yatha Shakthi.
