Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

Namaskaram Ram Swami,

Adiyen’s understanding with “Ooha & Apoha” buddhi with Acharya ThiruvAdi Bhalam & Velukkudi Swami’s Aasirvadham.

One மாத்திரை (maathirai) = time taken to snap the finger (ஒரு சொடக்கு போடும் நேரம்).

?️ (OM) = AUM (அ உ ம).
One maathirai time for each letter chanting. Combined chanting is pronounced as OM is 3 maathirai’s.

Nowadays, many are chanting OM for health benefits, since chanting OM as a angham of Upasana Maargham for Moksham is not possible in Kali yuga due to our diluted Shraddhai, Nishtai etc…..

So, Adiyen believe devareer need not worry about the Maathirai counts, since we are “Sharanagathy Maargham” on Acharya Ramanujar’s lotus feet for Moksham and Kainkaryam.

For rest of the life, to have a healthy body, Adiyen would recommend the below:

Splitting the
?️ (OM) = AUM (அ உ ம).

1) Chant the letter அ by keeping the hands in Anjali position on the front face, the vibration helps to releive any health issues related to head/brain and enhances memory and concentration.

2) Chant the letter உ by keeping the hands in Anjali position on the chest, the vibration helps to releive any health issues related to lungs/heart and enhances healthy heart and respiratory system.

3) Chant the letter ம by keeping the hands in Anjali position on the stomach, the vibration helps to releive any health issues related to stomach/abdominal or stool issues and enhances better digestive system.

However, these above three chanting doesn’t have a Maathirai limitation, just do it to the limit that is comfortable to oneself without suffocating while holding breath and chanting by slowly releasing the breath.

These NATURAL maathirai’s help one to ABSTAIN from ARTIFICIAL Maathirai’s (Medical Tablets).

*********
In real sense,

?️ (OM) = AUM (அ உ ம).

அ (1st letter) represents ParamAthma “Sriman NarayanA”,
ம (3rd letter) represents ourselves (BhadhAtmas) waiting for BhagavAt Krupai to get Moksham.

உ (2nd letter) represents the Acharyas (GyanaAthmas) who bridges the ம & உ, means facilitates the surrender of ம to உ.

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

One small typo correction in last sentence.

It is “ம to அ” & not “ம to உ”

உ (2nd letter) represents the Acharyas (GyanaAthmas) who bridges the ம & அ, means facilitates the surrender of ம to அ.

Srimathe Ramanujaya Namaha,

Adiyen again mistyped. Corrected as below.

அ is for stomach.
3) Chant the letter அ by keeping the hands in Anjali position on the stomach, the vibration helps to releive any health issues related to stomach/abdominal or stool issues and enhances better digestive system.

ம is for head.
1) Chant the letter ம by keeping the hands in Anjali position on the front face, the vibration helps to releive any health issues related to head/brain and enhances memory and concentration.

Dhanyosmi ElayaAlwar bhagavata for having kindness to answer adiyen’s situation. Will try to follow that ” அ உ ம ” recitation. Seems interesting. Understood your answer clearly.
Reg we are following “Sharanagathy Margham” yes adiyen also thought of it and convinced myself that this may not be for prapannas. But then adiyen had read this “Mathirai count” from Mukkur’s Kurai Ondrum Illai book. Hence had wanted to know how to say. But again as vikraminside bhaktha said it would appropriate to ask my acharya since different interpretations could exist.
