Yes Govindan Narayanan Swami. Karnan is the first son of Kunti. He is the elder brother of the Pandavas. But Poorvacharyas says, the moral is “Senchottru Kadanukkaaga“, karnan dhushta savakasam duryodhananidam vaitthu kondaan, adunaaley Azhinchey ponaan (அழிஞ்சே போனான்). But naasthikaas popularize karnan as kudai vallal which is more dangerous, so a devotee should be careful. Also why Supreme Krishna made a game plan to kill Karnan was because, he was the one who instigated Dhuryodhana by saying Draupathi is now your daasi, she should sit in your lap during the gambling. so karnan is such a bad person. Though karnan does charity (kudai vallal), his punyas didnot save him because of his bad venamous mind, so BhagavAn SriKrishna kept these ON HIS mind and took each one down in the Kurushetra war, since Draupathi was a Pure Sharanagathan. That’s why Poorvacharyas always say Nallavana iru, BhagavAtha Apacharam padadhey to a Sharanagathan, since BhagavAn is Aashridha Pakshspaadhi (Partiality) to a Sharanagathan. So a Sharanagathan always need to reflect Good behaviour at all times to anyone irrespective of caste, Creed, religion, since we don’t know whom BhagavAn has considered as a pure  Sharanagathan. That’s why Poorvacharyas says we should consider everyone is a devotee of BhagavAn, since we don’t who is a BhagavAta, only BhagavAn knows.
Another thing from Mahabharat, the reason why SriKrishna didnot physically come to the gambling location, instead HE rescued only Draupathi by giving Vastram (Sarees) from Dwaraka is because, if HE would have come there, the first Kill that SriKrishna would have done is “Pandavas, then Bheeshma & Drohna” because, they have Shastram Gyanam which says you should not gamble, but Pandavas gambled and put Draupathi as an object who is a property of BhagavAn SriKrishna, second Bhishma & Drohna kept quite when Draupathi was asking for help to them they both had CALIBER to SHUT-UP Dhuryodhana, but they didnot act. So BhagavAn was so ANGRY with Pandavas Bheeshma and Drohna and hence HE didnot come there directly, instead HE just saved Draupathi by giving Sarees from Dwaraka and took each one down in the Kurushetra war, since Draupathi was a Pure Sharanagathan on HIS LOTUS FEET..

But BhagavAn spared life of only the 5 Pandavaas in the Kurushetra war, beacause they being husband’s of Draupathi, since HE didnot want to see HIS Sharanagathan Draupathi mourn. BhagavAn did a beautiful clean-up because the whole Bharath (means not just India, the whole world is called Bharath) was ruled by the lineage Shantanu then Paandu then Dhridharashtra. So a KING of whole world Dhridharashtra who is ALLOWING GAMBLING in his court, and further not able to protect a women Draupathi who is none other than his own daughter-in-law during the Dhushasana-Duryodhana attrocity, then what would be the fate of the civilian’s of the world. That’s why BhagavAn SriKrishna was so ANGRY and he decided to make game plan to clean up (kill) EACH and EVERYONE WHO SIDED ON both Kauravas and Paandavas side, and just spared on the 5 Paandavas life only, due to they being Husband’s of a Sharanagathan Draupathi.
